4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
There is a flavor in this beer that is both awesome and totally foreign to me. Maybe it’s the "tree resin (think Myrrh) "

Pours a lovely clear bronze with a thick but very effervescent light tan head. Sorry, point off there. Aroma has malty, hay, grape juice and subtle yeast notes. Flavor seems a little different with each sip - malty, yeasty, wheaty, hints of caramel and horehound. Texture, though, leaves something to be desired - smooth, but lacking fizz or thickness. An interesting beer, nonetheless. Let it "bronze" your palate.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours with a clear copper hued body and a medium sized off-white head that fades pretty rapidly. Aromas are quite herbal and a bit spicy, floral, honey, thistle, grassy, medium malt, tree sap, walnut bread. Low esters. Flavors are spicy, off dry and pretty tannic to be honest. Light isoamyl acetate, floral and fruity, mildly nutty. Dry finish, light pomegranate. Lively carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sour pomegranate and honey are the dominant flavors here, a little nuttiness is definitely there as well. Certainly interesting. Too fizzy for my taste.

Floral malt aroma; amber color with frothy off-white head; sweet raspberry taste; sharp fizz on the palate with a bitter finish; overall, a fruity beer that is interesting for it's representation of an Etruscan beer, but only stands up on it's own if you're looking for a fruity beer

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 Bottle: thanks, Matt! Deep copper with shades of amber & ruby-red. Foamy, white head lasts for a few minutes then retains well as a collar outlining the glass. Aroma is... unique & interesting. Fruity, somewhat tart berries, wheat, grains, crispy & musky hops, ginger, coriander, pepper, & a collage of other spices I can’t identify at all. Taste contains honey-coated cherries, strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry... sounds great, but there is a HUGE medicinal twang that’s killing the vibe. Weird, residual, chalky taste & feel on the palate, think of the aftertaste of chewing a vitamin. Ashy, musty, dry hops. Big wheat. Not getting any hazelnut. What a damn weird beer... Wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for those horrid, medicinal off-flavors. Hard to finish this one.

Big bottle. Fizzy head ended abruptly and disappeared. Mahogany color. Aroma is ripe fruits, pomegranate, cranberry, honey, coriander, grapes. Medium light sweetness. Slight tartness. Light carbonation. Taste is about the same as aroma. Interesting.

The aroma is earthy, yeasty, pepper, nuts. The appearance is clear amber, white head. The flavor is pepper, yeast, nuts, honey. Spicy and sweet. The finish is pepper, spicy. Medium in body. God overall. Why is thee Belgian yeast in a traditional ale?

Great aroma almost mead like. Pickup caramel, honey and pine. Taste has all those plus a hint of nuttiness. Oily on the palate with soft carbonation and sweet finish, we’ll made beer but not my cup of tea.

Draft sampled at Dogfish Head brewery. Pours hazy brown with a cream tan head. Aroma of malt, wort, caramel, brown sugar, honey. Not sure I’m getting the pomegranate in this. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
