Aroma reminds me of my childhood, when my grandmother made jam. Dark berries and a touch of yeast. Flavor is dark berries, sweet honey/sugar. Alcohol is well hidden. A nice brew.
It is not worth 120 danish kr. (11-12£) Syd (892), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Bottled on 02/13/2007, rated on 1/2/2009, 1 pint 9.6 fl. oz. bottle pours a hazed rust amber with a small head (I poured hard). The aroma is sort of funky and blueberry. The flavor is dominated by the blueberry and blackberry, sweetness, with some sour notes here and there. I guess I can sort of see the Belgian yeast characteristics, but not in a very pronounced way. The palate is pretty rich and coating. The alcohol is really well hidden and makes this beer dangerous and deceptively drinkable. Overall, I’m glad I got it since I am a big fan of the dark berries. Under rated IMHO. jstraw (756), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Darker amber with light, off-white head / Fermented dark berry nose / Medium body, acidic, moderately sweet, with good finish / Flavors of fermented berries, predominantly blackberries, with notes of banana and spice / A stylish, almost wine-like brew. bethmatt0421 (318), Covington, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Dark fruits, black and blue berries obviously. Even a champagne sourness to it. I loved this beer. A perfect mix of a fruity sour and wine. JCB (1746), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2008 750ml from . . . I cant remember. Anyways, this is a not bad companion to DFH Red and White. Clear pour, a pleasantly gleaming body, with a thick head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Translucent amber with faint pinkish hues, not unlike the Upland lambics I recently sampled, at least in appearance. Strong berry nose but you can certainly tell this is pureed, as it has a vaguely artificial quality to it. Malty brew with warming qualities, a bit of honey in the flavor too, almost as if this is Midas Touch with a ton of fruit. Alcohol well hidden, not a bad beer. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2008 The word "fruity" comes to mind. Mildly reddish amber pour with a decent, creamy off-white head. Aroma of berries, a touch of yeast. Flavor is very sweet: syrupy, sugary berry mix with a tiny dash of hops to cut the fruitiness. Not bad, but not one of my favorites from DFH. KimJohansen (6916), Copenhagen V, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Cloudy light red with medium off white head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with berries, caramel and malty notes. Finished sweet with warming alcohol. ilovedarkbeer (1333), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2008 I really dont agree with anything in the commercial description. Pours a pinkish amber color with a sort of berries and creme colored head. Nose is berry syrup, think of the stuff you put on pancakes, like blackberry syrup on blue berries pancakes.... yeah thats how I roll. Mouth feel is moderate to thick for a fruit beer and tastes sort of tart with lots of berries and a hint of barnyard. medium finish. Dangerously quaffable at 10 percent.
