Hazy deep amber pour, solid frothy off-white lasting head. Dry aroma, wheaty grain, dry peppery yeast and mild tart berryfruit. The taste is much more malt and fruit-forward, medium alcohol, dry, mild floral hop bitterness, slightly pungent. Average body, a little astringent, but a long dry tart berryfruit finish - the fruit isn’t all that strong in the aroma, but it’s in the taste for sure. biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber color with a modest slightly off-white head. Definitely blueberry in the aroma, with a fair bit of malt and some other fruit notes. Flavor is much the same, with some funky notes and a little bitterness. Not bad. Flavor comes across as a fruity red wine, with the notes of raspberry and blueberry definately noticeable. Interesting and tasty. ratman197 (3185), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 21, 2008 On tap @ Hopleaf. Aww crap its a fruit beer. Didn’t expect it too be extra fruity! A nice brew but nothing tremendous. Medium body - a bit more substance than most fruit beers. Not an overwhemling presence of black and blueberries but the aroma and tartness are definately there. A nice hoppy finish which is uncharacteristic of many fruit beers. Interesting but I will not be having this again! jgb9348 (2495), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Nice deep hazy golden coloured body with a very thin white head. Aroma of fruits, malt, yeast and a bit of hops - not much. Medium-bodied; Strong fruity flavour of blackberries and raspberries, along with a fake candy sugar and yeastie taste. Aftertaste shows way more sugars, a bit of fruit and mostly a carbonated malty and alcohol kick. Overall, a decent beer - but nothing special at all. I sampled this 750 mL bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 19-April-2008. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Pours a dark hazy amber color with a fizzy pinkish head that goes quickly. Spicy sweet aroma of yeast and dark fruits. Flavor is less appealling. The hops and alcohol dont play so well with the fruit. It seems like both sides are trying to overpower each other. Too highly carbonated. Interesting, but not great.
