| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 16, 2007 I picked this up at State Line in Elkton and feel ripped off for $12.99 as I paid less for more spectacular beers. The blackberries and blueberries seem to clash into a dry sour mix which lacks the sweetness I desire and melds with some off centered malts which I wish were toned down. I tried it at different temps and got the same effect. The nose has a nice hoppy floral quality in there but isn’t too exuberant. Flavor is too unbalanced. Boutip (2346), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2007 Bottle courtesy of John_adam2002: Poured a medium brown/reddish color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet grain is kind of weird. Taste is dominated by sweet malt with an unrefined grain taste which didn’t really agree with my taste buds. Body is pretty average with some medium carbonation and no alcohol was discernable. I couldn’t really taste much fruit or hops in this beer contrary to what the label advertised. Overall, I thought this was not bad but it wasn’t even close to being as great as what the label lead me to expect. josuemucho (86), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Unique coloring with the color changing while pouring. Fruits, spice, and malts play a part in aroma and taste. Nice flavorful taste, highly carbonated. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 11, 2007 750ml bottle: Pours a murky amberish orangey red color with a soap bubble head. The aroma surprisingly muted, noting simply caramelized malts and a little blueberry fruit. The body is medium with notes of caramel, bread and hay. Some light fruitiness here as well, although not very defined. I applaud DFH for venturing into new territory and consistantly pushing the envelope, but this beer didn’t do much for me. gottalottaibu (243), charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2007 pours light brown with slightly off color creamy head. nice blueberry aromas that were just faint enough to make it nicely inviting. taste is similar. spicey with a touch of bitterness and again a distant taste of blueberries and blackberries. nice medium mouthfeel that really tas on to the entire mouth. nice flavorful finish that lingers just long enouh. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a one finger somewhat pinkish white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of berries and light citrus. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeeel with a mild amount of bitterness, well hidden alcohol, and tart finish. Very good. elektronikfagteknikerlærling (892), kbh, Denmark
