The sweetness of the belgium style brew and the tartness of the fruit provide an interesting contrast. Smooth on the palate. Mike4686 (120), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2007 This fruit beer pours a deep orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is blackberries and oranges, malty, sweet and bready. Medium bodied fruit beer. Malts are fruity and sweet. Slight beery flavors, the blueberry and blackberry flavors are there but kind of hide in the background. Sort of lambic like. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

Malty, sweetish aroma with dried fruits and some beef-stock. Beef-stock, malt, caramel and dried fruits in the flavor. Full body, and a long, sweetish finish. Quite nice, but not the best from Dogfish Head.’ (070511) Nejhleader (928), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2007 i thought this was a waste of money, its a good brew, but for close to $20 a bottle one can do better. had a sweet almost fruity/candi like flavor with a bit of spice mixed in....... someone should make a berries and cream beer, and get that guy from the starburst commercials to be on the bottle, ha ha. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Bottle. Flute. An interesting beer that pours one of the most brilliant shades of amber I’ve ever seen. Thick, bubbly head. All of the fruity flavor is very reserved in this beer. Berry, hops and malt are balanced extremely well in both flavor and aroma. Very well crafted even despite the syrupy mouthfeel. Good
