Peachy tan pour, rough beige head. Blue Koolaid® and cotton candy aroma. A high frequency minty sort of nose. Cranberry/lemon tart flavor, a bit of clean alcohol. Pleasant bright fruity flavor, excessively sweet nose. theisti (1654), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2009 750 ml bottle courtesy of PhillyBeer2112. Bottled in 2018 B stamped on bottle (perhaps I misread this, I am pretty certain this is from 2008. Pour is cloudy ruby orange golden with a smallish off white head. Some particulates are floating in the glass. Fair amount of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and lightly sour berry fruit sweetness. There is also the tart raspberry present. Decent shot of booze as it warms. Nose is actually milder than I would have expected. Taste is big raspberry and blueberry jam sweetness. There really is none of the sour or tartness from the nose, just the fruit sweetness. The taste is sticky, and cloying. The alcohol burns pretty quick, hot and long. The grain is present, but is behind the sweet fruit. Palate is medium heavy, sticky, and mouth coating. As mentioned, the alcohol lingers long and hot. Interesting concept, just too harsh for me. Thanks for sending this to me Dan. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Bottled. Poures a reddish-purple color with a thin white head. The aroma is strong with yeast and malts with notes of berry, lemmon, and citrus. The berry really comes out in the taste, but other than that it is the same as the smell. It is very bubblely. It was ok, but I do not think I would try it again. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Bottled on 2008 F. Beer is clear, pretty rose-colored pink. Head is initially white, average, frothy. Almost totally diminishes except for a thin white rim of clean little bubbles on the edge of the snifter.
The aroma is malty with light/moderate notes of cookie, toasted grain; hoppy with a moderate note of lemon zest; yeasty with a light, wild yeast note that’s primarlly horsey with a recessive touch of sweat; lighter miscellaneous notes of tart fresh berry and a light/moderate note of alcohol.
The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately juicy/sour, trace dry/bitter with a long, lightly warm, lightly dry/lean, finish.
The body is light/medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is moderately fuzzy.
Nice balance between the fruit and the beer. Intriguing wild quality. sjolles85 (80), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Alcohol and Berries...is the easiest way to sum up this beer. Its a split bottle, it was a little too much for me to handle by myself. DogFish sure does push the envelope Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA
