Ungstrup (10432), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 19, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of alcohol and malt - quite simple. The flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of alcohol, and some light berry notes. Too strong on the alcohol and too simple - for me. Papsoe (9242), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 20, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Pours a clear, reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, berry like notes in the aroma. Fairly full-bodied dominated by the sweet berry notes that lead to a warming, alcoholic finish. Quite delicate. 120507 Oakes (6556), Miami Beach, Canada Sep 16, 2007 Slight purplish accent to the dark amber colour. The aroma contains hints of yeast, blueberry, coriander and a peppery, tripelish malt backbone. Fairly sweet, only hints of blackberry and a light yeast character. Drinks lighter than its weight class. Good entry to the fruit beer category. sk8viking (5997), Copenhagen, Denmark May 17, 2007 Bottle. A amber beer with a white head. The aroma is like bubble gum, fruits and berries. The taste is sweet and fruity with berries. Medium body with a dry finish. argo0 (5871), Washington DC, USA Jun 11, 2007 (750ml bottle, bottled 2/12/07) Large beige head atop crystal clear red/amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, blueberry/boysenberry, some blackberry. Taste is sweet, very berry, some alcohol, light peach, earthy/spicy. Medium-full body, moderately sticky. Not surprisingly, too big and too sweet for a single person to drink the bottle it’s sold in during an evening.
