3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 robertjm (680) - El Cerrito, USA - SEP 22, 2008
750ml Bottle brought back from East Coast by a friend. Pours a nice thick head which is extremely slow to collapse.Beautiful ruby color. Clear as a bell. Aroma is cross between wine/fruit/belgian yeast. My sister told me she thought it was too sweet, but I’m actually liking it a lot. To me the flavor is more along the side of a dry light red wine that has been carbonated (a blush champagne perhaps?). Bitterness rolls off the back of the tongue in the pallate. Fruit is more pronounced in the aftertaste. This one would be on my list to buy again if I was interested in a fruit beer with a character all its own. Hopefully Dogfish will sell this one out here when they start bringing it to California on a regular basis.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 portableparty (1189) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Bottle, thanks watson1977! Pours deep amber with a soapy khaki head that slowly fades to a sudsy film. Aroma has fruity dark berries, yeast and malt. Taste shows blue and blackberries with a malty backbone and some noticeable yeast as well some tartness. Palate is medium to full with malty chalkiness and finishes dry. Drinks well with some subtle Belgian strong ale characteristics.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (4054) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours purplish copper with a clinging off-white head with a blue tinge and a sour fruity aroma. There is a sour bitter fruit flavor with a very dry herbal finish. It’s an interesting brew but the strange flavor limits its drinkability.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ngeunit1 (817) - Mountain View, California, USA - MAY 26, 2012
A - Pours a clear copper-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades slowly leaving behind some nice lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of blackberry and blueberry with a bit of pale malt and a hint of booze.
T - Starts off with some blackberry and blueberry sweetness with some pale malt. Through the middle, some lightly bready malt comes through with some light yeast flavors. The finish is a mix of blackberry and blueberry with some pale malt and a touch of booze.
M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. Very fruit forward, but the overall beer is really nice and interesting. I like the balance.

pours an amazing reddish blue color. Strong fruity blueberry aroma. Amazing flavor. All dark and sweet fruits, no alcohol at all. This is an incredible beer. Incredibly fruity and sweet but not at all abrasive. The 10% is completely hidden.

Tap. Pours clear amber/ruby with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is sour fruit, caramel and cookie malt, floral hops, and some funk. Flavor is sweet malt forward with good supporting hops and faint hops; sweet finish. Light/medium body, medium carbonation and warmth.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 maneliquor (1189) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle thanks to Jez. December 2007. Pours dull amber with a small white head which quickly fades to nothing. Nose is strong and alcoholic. A rush of blueberry juice comes at you while sweet and dark fruits play their way around your nose. Loads of dates and sultanas through the taste. Gives it a sweet and sour feel. Blueberry juice and light, ripe berries play around the back of the palate. Nice beer, a little thin and transitions are a little rough and boozy. Nicely done though
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Danyel (73) - Colorado, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Tap. Sweet, malty, fruity, a little tart to balance the sweetness. Nice carbonation. Pretty good beer, nothing exceptional.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 joebudzjoe (490) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford, CT. This beer was more than I expected...I expected a hoppy brew with berries, but I got a strong ale with an alcohol kick that confounded with a tang of berries. This is a mature, respectable fruit beer...I usually hate fruit beers but this is worth trying.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 yumyum (185) - barrie, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2012
A very fruity beer. pours odd sort of bluish hue. Smells like field berries and tastes that way to. Sort of like drinking jam although while it was on the sweet side I thought they did a decent job of not allowing it to be overly sweet. A decent brew. Not opposed to having it again although not sure if it is something I am in a rush to buy again.
