4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong aroma of earth and berries. Color like drops of blood drawn from the briars fallen into a pint of ale. Black and blueberries shine through the tart sourness. Powerful. Leaves a mark on my memory like the berries themselves would stain my fingertips. With purpled fingers, I reach for another sip.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a snifter showing a fairly clear, reddish copper color, with fair persistence to the finger’s width of soft white head foam, and even better lingering nature to the waves & ribbons of lacing. The nose was expressive cherry/berry, balanced sweetness & tartness, with complementary spice. The taste continued tangy, tart, and sweet, with some modest hop astringency, and lively carbonation, in a medium body. Alcohol seemed hidden behind the pronounced flavor notes as the finale presented just enough dryness to finish crisply. Cordial-like but not too much sweetness allowed nice drinkability.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-red, light pink head. Blueberry nose. Berry base, light tart base, a hint minerals, vanilla and citrus. Dry sparkly mouthfeel, chewy medium body. Refreshing dangerously easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Typical Belgium yeast aroma with the tartness and mild sweetness of the berries come from this almost clear red brew with tiny white bubbles forming around the edge the glass. Berries and sweetness up front with an underlying tartness in this medium bodied brew. The after taste is black berries and slight warming from the alcohol. A decent brew for sure.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet, but not overly so. Tart as well. Fruity, but no obviously blueberry or blackberry flavor that I can taste. Finish is all Belgian yeast. Pretty good.

Berry hue. Light head. Excellent balance with the Belgian. Perfect for after a meal and with a good book.

Exactly what you'd expect in a berry Belgian.
Just a bit tart too, like the berries.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Fruity aroma. Colour of Ribena. Light fizz. Taste of blueberries and underripe blackberries. Not too sweet like a lot of fruit beers. (K)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark red color and is a bit sour tasting. Berry flavor is present and has a solid malt backbone to balance. Description on label is accurate, can’t say I’d drink it again though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Old rating. 750 ml bottle from Old Town. Poured into a pinot noir glass. Pinkish red color with a thin slightly purple head. Big berry aroma present with a hint of yeast. Light and dry. Some tartness and fruit on the palate. Creamy mouthfeel but light body. The fruit gets more tart as it warms up as well as some peppery notes...like a syrah light. Solid fruit beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (750ml ): Pinkish with thin head. Taste is sweet and tart. High carbonation. Very fruity. Probably out appeal to those who like sweet bubble wine which I do not. The official description is actually quite accurate, just not my thing.
