Apr 27, 2007 Bottle. Crimson pour with a bone white head. Aroma of pungent berries, some pale malt and some vinous notes as well. Flavors of malt, berries, a bit of booze and some tannins. Medium bodied with a light carbonation and a dry/syrupy sweet finish. Interesting brew.

Dec 6, 2008 bottle. dark pour with some sediment, thin head. blackberries and blueberries have a great flavor. well balanced and easy drinking. very enjoyable.

Dec 11, 2008 I really dont agree with anything in the commercial description. Pours a pinkish amber color with a sort of berries and creme colored head. Nose is berry syrup, think of the stuff you put on pancakes, like blackberry syrup on blue berries pancakes.... yeah thats how I roll. Mouth feel is moderate to thick for a fruit beer and tastes sort of tart with lots of berries and a hint of barnyard. medium finish. Dangerously quaffable at 10 percent.

Dec 21, 2008 Cloudy light red with medium off white head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with berries, caramel and malty notes. Finished sweet with warming alcohol.

Mar 30, 2008 Updated: Aug 21, 2008Tasting, courtesy of Fordest’s event. Beer#14. hazy copper-red color with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with mixed berries and some barnyard funk. Flavor was sweet and sour fruits (but i could not specifically taste any blueberries or blackberries). The mouthfeel was smooth and malty. The finish was dry and kinda sour. overall: After the Cantillion blabar a high bar has been set for all other blueberry concoctions; and this beer, while quite good, suffers by the recent comparison.
Rerate note: Received a bottle from Secret Santa (Sprinkle). My first sample was from a two ounce rating, and I’m surprised to see that my comments do not drastically change now that I have a full bottle at my disposal. However I’m increasing my rating by a tenth as I find that I throughly enjoy this concoction..

Sep 29, 2008 Amber with a small white head. Aroma was black/blueberry and sweet malt. Similar flavor with a bit of caramel and wheat. Finishes lightly syrupy.

Sep 7, 2009 POurs a reddish brown. Nose is sour grapes, unripe blueberries, sour berries, butter fruit skin. Flavor is bitter fruit, unripe blurberries, young berries, sweet berries, mild malt and yeast.
