COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The elusive brew is made from pilsner malt and amber malt with an original gravity of 26.5?P, yielding an 11% abv. It's hopped with Warrior and Glacier varieties. Primary fermentation takes place in open vessels using two yeast strains, one American and one English. For added complexity, the beer is conditioned on barrel staves of French Oak for four months before being dry hopped with Glacier at the rate of a half-pound per barrel. This elixir is then blended 50/50 with 90 Minute IPA. After blending, the beer will measure 80 IBU and 10% abv. Bottled in corked bottles through Michael Jacksonís rare beer club by late November 04 and available in 12 ounce full distribution in early January 05.

On tap at Hops & Pies Aug 5, 2014. Pours gold with head and lace. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of straw and grapefruit hops, bright malts, toothpaste, minty herbs. Overall big, bold, tasty.

Bottle at home. Poured darker than expected: brown-red almost seemed to glow. There was white foam laced on the sides of the glass. Aroma is wood, caramel and bread, Taste is bitter with citrus, oak and enough malt to make it complex. The flavour is powerful enough to hide the alcohol quite well. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation and long bitter finish.

Bottle into glass. The wood notes pops out at you immediately in the aroma. Soft, almost velvet mouthfeel, love what this does to the 90 minute. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an amber from a bottle, nose is of vanilla and tropical fruit, Flavor is vanilla and slightly toffee, good bitterness like a nice toffee has, not overly alcoholic. Very good beer.

A nice sweet flowery aroma emanates from the glass. Medium white head forms after pouring. A medium feel when drinking. The flavor is a boozy sweet citrus flavor with a little oak mixed in. This is one brew I would get again in a heart beat!

Iím not convinced the aging helped this beer. All the bright floral and citrus notes are gone replaced with sweet, malty, bourbon. Its heavy and not in a great way. Would not buy again

Bottled 9/30/14, drank 2/5/15. The nose has a light malt sweetness and some notes of plum. Wonderful thick head that slowly dissipates, leaving a thin white layer of foam. Decent lacing. Initially the taste is a very sweet, rich malt flavor followed by some slight bitterness and a citrus burst at the end. Then this leaves an amazing burnt caramel toffee flavor thatís incredible for a beer like this. Then vanilla starts to come through (the only aspect that would lead me to think this was barrel aged). Itís very thick and syrupy but it works so well here. It somehow finishes on the dry end and leaves only the caramel/toffee flavor I mentioned earlier. Iím excited to see what age does to this
