COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The elusive brew is made from pilsner malt and amber malt with an original gravity of 26.5?P, yielding an 11% abv. It's hopped with Warrior and Glacier varieties. Primary fermentation takes place in open vessels using two yeast strains, one American and one English. For added complexity, the beer is conditioned on barrel staves of French Oak for four months before being dry hopped with Glacier at the rate of a half-pound per barrel. This elixir is then blended 50/50 with 90 Minute IPA. After blending, the beer will measure 80 IBU and 10% abv. Bottled in corked bottles through Michael Jackson’s rare beer club by late November 04 and available in 12 ounce full distribution in early January 05.

One of the better imperials from Dogfish. The oak makes it interesting and surprisingly less biting than the 90 minute. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 355ml. More or less aged 1 year. Clear orangeish with a creamy tan head. Exquiste roasted and hoppy aromas. Medium to robust bodied with moderate carbonation. Medium sweet with heavy bitterness. Deep aged and roasted character into a complex malty and bitter alcohol finish. Stunning beer, has aged brilliantly.

Bottle, 355ml. A dark amber beer with a medium size white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of alcohol, bourbon, wood and spices. Taste is bitter with a strong alcoholic aftertaste. Medium bodied, dry and astrigent. Strong aftertaste that reminds me of wood and bourbon, with a nice malt character. Maybe not as hoppy as some of the Imperial IPAs I have tried, but definitely very nice.
