Fazit: Interessant! Poured black with a quickly gone tan head. Aroma was coffee, licorice, and barley. Tasted of barley, malt, light smokiness, and a light sweetness. This beer was a little thin on palate for a stout, kind of thin. Not a standout beer, but definately different for a stout, and pretty smooth tasting. I would recommend it.

Tap. Pours deep, dark brown with average, creamy tan head; short retention and good lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy hops, dark fruit, and light woody notes. Flavor is sweet malt forward with some supporting hops and dark fruit esters; semi-sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.

I am becoming more and more a fan of stouts infused with coffee. This one is mild on coffee but still good. Try Hardywood Park Mocha it is better ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours jet black with a thick mocha that sticks around and sports some nice lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and coffee, smells wonderful. Taste follows the nose but without the pop. Muted coffee and chocolate, I mean it’s tasty just not wow. Mouthfeel Is a bit thin. Good, regular drinking stout.

A - Pours a dark black with a hint of brown mixed in and a thin finger of frothy chocolate colored head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of roasted and burnt dark chocolate with some roasted coffee beans, chicory, black licorice, a touch of lactose sweetness, and a hint of dark fruit. T - Starts off with some roasted bakers chocolate with some coffee beans and a bit of black licorice. Through the middle, a bit of sweetness comes through with some chicory and some milk chocolate. The finish is a mix of sweet chocolate malts, coffee, a touch of dark fruit, and some chicory. M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, roasted, and lightly sweet finish. D - Very drinkable. The coffee and chicory flavors add some nice complexity to the stout and the overall beer is nicely balanced.
