Paddle sample at Fishale. Dark brown stout pour with a nice head of small tan bubbles. Good chocolate aroma with no hint of shellfish. The flavor brings in some ginger/Rosemary and espresso. Flavorful but no sea notes for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. The darkest of browns with a dense, silky mocha head. Aroma has coca powder, subtle fig, strawberry and basil. The flavor leads with spicy, molasses-like notes as well as anise and basil before tangy dark chocolate hits mid-palate. The finish is dry and roasty, with a lingering briny character. Creamy medium-light body; peppery CO2 and mild fizz. Canít say I get a ton of the crustacean addition, but there is certainly a hint of the ocean in there.

Draft at ebp. Pours a murky near-black. Thick creamy tan head. Big sweet cocoa nose with a bit of sea salt. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Cocoa and a bit of sea salt on the mid palata, giving way to a big fisby finish thatís out of place.

Jensen Beach, Fl. - Castaway í s - on tap. Deep, dark brown pour, sticky, mocha colored head, decent lacing. Interesting aroma with some Carbona Carpet Cleaner accents, kind of a peppermint bent to it. Flavor has that same mintiness going on, a touch of bakerís unsweetened chocolate, peppermint, perhaps a bit of licorice. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. Interesting and decent.
