A reference to all things cyclical in nature; this dark, smoky, spicy Saison we brewed with 9 different malts, homegrown pablano peppers, dried blood oranges, and yeast from L’Interimaire and Diane.

From the tap poured a dark brown color with a small amount of head. Spicy toasted malty flavor with a lasting finish.

On draft at dfh brewpub..dark saison..interesting..color is unique for the style..coffee dominant aroma..smokey peat malt is also present in the nose and finish..smoke is a bit overpowering..has an almost stout like profile.malt dominated but still a good offering..not picking up much from the peppers and oranges..quite flavorful and smooth for the 6%..

Flavor is toasted malts, smoked meat, dark fruit esters, and floral hops; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Growler shared by imstilltheGman... Ruby color... not much head. Nose of spices, dried fruits and earthy yeast. Taste reminds me of a holiday abbey dubbel than a saison... Light smoke, lots of spices, cinnamon, peppery, earthy, dry.... Different that is for sure. Medium body. Enjoyed but wouldnt go out of my way to have it again.... Thanks Guy

Draft at brewpub. Pours dark brown with a think khaki head. Nice peppery notes balanced by some malty notes on the nose. I’m getting some of the Saison properties but also the roasted pepper provides some balance and a bit of lingering flavor. Nice!
