COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A neo-lambic ale that goes through both a yeast and bacteria fermentation and is then aged on oak chips and 400 pounds of Delaware peaches. This beer is very tart and complex. It arrives cork-finished and bottled-conditioned in champagne bottles.

Another generous share from Diego by way of the Tower of Power, I really loved this beer and it had an incredible amount of peach flavor remaining for a bottle of its vintage. I wish that DFH would rebrew this beer, itís better than probably every 750 they have released since.

Bottle thanks to northernbrews for sharing. Very happy to try this near-ghost. Clear gold pour with only a few tiny bubbles of carb. Smells like sour peaches, honey cereal, straw, and light perfumy flowers. Tastes like a sour bomb but with enough flavor to back it up. Funky, sour peach, honey, cereal, and olive oil. Unctuous mouthfeel (thanks for the new word in my vocabulary Tony). A little perfumy but not bad. Itís a tad messy but itís a 10 year old beer I think? I still enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Oily orange & burnt amber body. Stunning clarity with a couple bubbles that rise to the top, but absolutely no "head" at all. Honey coated peach aroma, slight hints of acetone & nail polish remover but not enough to hinder everything else... Just adds a touch of pungency. Almost vinous with some white grape-y booziness towards the back-end. Very sour flavor! Much more sour than it smelled. Big acidic lemon & peach notes with a wet, musty, vinous oak background to loft it up. Tart acetone, mild vinegar, some dusty cellar floor, & a little bit of oxidation left lingering into the finish, though fairly mild considering the age of the beer. Lasting impression of sour stone fruit skins & mild acidity. Oily, unctuous body (yes, I said unctuous). I feel like this is likely past its prime, but it was still amazing drinkable & actually quite tasty. Thanks again Jeff for this rarity.

GABF. Slightly hazy golden hue with white head. Aroma is lactic, straw, slight funk. Medium body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry sweet with a tart following. Overall this is a decent brew.

Bottle. Huge thanks to Eric for this rare dfh treat. Pours a clear golden honey body. Aroma is oxidation, not promising. Mouthfeel is still lively with nice puckering tartness, sour peach, light oak and funk.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2014 Another lackluster dogfish, Iíve never really rated this brewery but most of my ticks would be low. So much nail polish remover in their beers and no good, hoppy pales or IPAs in 10+ yrs in the game. Aroma is chemicals, perfume, and grossness. Taste is better but still rough...oak, lemons, apples and yeast. Just not off centered enough to drink their stuff. Thanks to Eric for cracking this rarity but just not a fan of 90% of their beers

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Batch 1. Pours a slightly hazy copper with just a thin white head of foam. The aroma is musty, tart, peaches. The fruit profile is phenomenal on this. Taste is more of that peach sourness. Lighter body.

Taster pour at the brewery, their last case, hazy gold, minimal head, subtle aroma, powerful sour peach flavor... What a blast! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft pour by Sam himself at NHC pro brewers night. Pours a hazy golden orange with thin off-white head. Nose of lactic acid, barn funk, peach, oak. Light body, quite tart.

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Vintage 2004. Great tang in here. The fruits seem to have faded mildly but this is still a phenomenal beer. Loads of great tang. Super balance, very well rounded and drinkable. A real treat.
