Very carbonated, light in color, fizzy sour nose, subtle peach flavour but not intense. It reminds me of a faintly peach flavoured pale lager which isnít a good thing. My sister loved it and she isnít really a beer conosour.

Just an average offering from DFH, although there was nothing really wrong with this beer, it just wasnít up to the standard that DFH has set, hazy golden color with a subtle white head, left a nice lacing around the glass, very sweet & fruity nose, the body was very overpowering with a very sweet & tart flavor, had a bit of a green hue to the color as well, the best characteristic of this beer was that it is a big thirst quencher, this would be great after a little yard work or sitting on the beach all day with no refreshment, just an average beer from DFH

12 ounce bottle

I was wary of this release based on the Red & White and Black & Blue but since it was a berliner weisse it was worth the risk. Thankfully it came in 12 oz bottles so I was able to deal with a much smaller amount. Iím giving it a bit of a bump for the style; were it something else I might drop it down to a 3.4.

Aroma / Appearance - The hazy light body was very pleasant to look at and just what I would have expected from a low alcohol wheat beer. Lively carbonation kept things moving up into the bleach white head that crowned my glass. Wheat, sour peaches and a hint of lemon meringue complete the trifecta of scents. Itís not very complex but then again based in the Kindl Weiss I did not expect it to be.

Flavor / Palate - Tart, dry peaches wash down the throat leaving behind a sour trail. It almost tasted like the peaches were fresh from the tree with the juice dripping on the lips. It went down easy despite the tartness which leaves me in an interesting position. I have to admit that Dogfish Head may have a good thing on their hands here even if it is a style Iím not likely to purchase very often. I wish I had a standard berliner weisse to use a reference for what sets this one apart.

12oz. bottle. Big pale, wheat grain nose, fruity, tart and citric with an abundance of lemon and only the slightest hint of peach, mingled with a fairly strong yeast presence and some floral touches. Cloudy light golden color with pale yellow highlights and a fading head. Flavor profile is fruity and citric, featuring an appropriately strong influx of tartness and acidity, drying considerably by the finish, which also features just a touch of the peach character. Palate is light, smooth and moderately low in effervescence with a light body. Interesting stuff.

Poured a murky light orange/yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is lightly sour toffee with a slight bit of peach, though itís faint enough to be difficult to discern if one were not looking for it. Flavor follows and is some toffee malts, a lightly sour character with notes of lemon rind, and a slight hint of peaches. I was surprised that it didnít overwhelm me with peach flavor, but rather used it as an accent. Refreshing, and while it didnít shock me, it will make a decent summer beer.

12 oz. bottle. Peaches on the nose also zesty soapy aroma. Hazy yellow body with fizzy white head. Flavor had good citrus fresh peachs. Has great deal of sour and tart to the flavor as well. Zesty sour and tart aftertaste on the palate.

Pale golden body beneath a thin white head. Grainy aroma with hints of peaches. Tart peach flavor with light notes of apricots and wheat. A very refreshing and enjoyable quaffer.
