Draft. Aroma: Grainy wheat malt, Peach, and a slightly funky yeastiness. Aroma has a nice tartness to it. Appearance: Light yellow in color and cloudy. White head was full and frothy with fair retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Grainy wheat malt, peach, lactic acid, and a funky yeast note. Nice tartness to this. Dry finish. Palate: Light bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Really liked this. Well balanced and very refreshing. The perfect summer beer.

Bottle...very sour taste, not much peach flavor really. I was expecting something more like Pyramid Apricot Weizen...it was not sweet at all. Not one I would buy again.

Pours a hazy pale yellow, reminds me of lemonade, white bubbles that dissipate, wheat and faint malt aroma, faint peach, fruit, lemon citrus and orange fragrances with some whiffs of sweetness, tart and dry in the mouth, taste of orange rind and pith, faint wheat and sweet flavor that is quickly overlapped by the sourness, some citrus pucker on the tongue that carries towards the end and diminishes leaving a sour dry finish, carbonation and tartness makes this drink light on the palate, lemon citrus sour bite increased as it warmed, very refreshing and easy to drink.

7/13/07: Bottle.
Wheat and yeast nose with tones of peach zest. Body is a hazy yellow brown color with a white head. Sour/clean flavor of fruit (peach, white grapes) and wheat. Very light and refreshing.

I was put off by the aroma at first with it’s wild funky yeast and cheap malt smell but the few peaches that were in there were nice. The appearance is hazy pale gold with a decent head. The flavor is like the aroma with the peaches really making it drinkable with their tartness. The palate this thin. Overall I find it refreshing.

I’m not impressed with anything on this beer. The aroma smells like dishwater, taste is too tart for quality drinking enjoyment. Mild flavors of Peach is there yet not overwhelming

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2010 Bottle. Nose is odd, musky yeast with lots of sourness. Cloudy pale yellow with thin bubbly head. Very sour. Some hint of fruit. Balanced palate, but a bit puckering. Need to re-rate this now that I have a better palate for the style.

Bottled on 6/01. Poured a somewhat hazy, pale gold. Medium white head; quickly diminished. Aroma of peach, sugar, lemon and some slight tartness. Very dry finish; alot of acidity as well. Medium to light bodied. Flavor was tart peach and yeast. My first for the style, although I’m thinking this might not be the best example of the style. This definitely interested me; but I did not find it overly enjoyable.

On tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Cloudy golden white body with a small frothy white head. Sweet lightly tart peach aroma. Lightly tart sugary peach flavor.

Hazy yellow/straw color - slightly cloudy with a medium head. Aroma of peaches is evident - other notes of lemon & yeast. Flavor is tart, but with a twinge of sweetness from the peach. Crisp and pleasant, with a dry, acidic finish. IT manages to stay balanced without punching your palate with sour acidity. The whole exceeds the sum of it’s parts here. Nicely done DFH!
