Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured yellow color color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate wheat sour fruit aroma. Light to medium body. Medium sour fruit flavor with a medium sour finish of moderate duration. Interesting, not my style.

Bottle from Whole Foods 14th Street. Pretty nice. Itís fantastic to see Dogfish getting creative - or at least continuing to be creative. This is a little metallic.and maybe a touch watery with some noticeable peach juice added - though itís still a pretty tart drink.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Cloudy golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is light and slightly tart with a very mild aroma of peaches. Flavor is very sour and tart with a good amount of peaches, not much wheat, and a very smooth and sweet finish.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2010 Ok, Iíve been waiting a long time to try my first Berliner weisse, and finally I see one at my local beer store! And guess what? Itís affordable! Pop the lid and you get a small amount of fruitiness in the aroma. The look is that of an unfiltered wheat beer, cloudy and hazy vanilla yellow. Fruity yet not sweet, interesting tartness that I can appreciate. Seems to me this is more like a fruit flavored wheat than another style. At first the flavor is tart then that fades to a mild bitterness and that in turn fades to a sour candy palate that lacks any bitterness. Quite a complex development on the tongue. Very interesting and different. Enjoyable and refreshing, can appreciate this style. Good creamy carbonation. I have no other Berliners to compare this to. Overall, fun and easy to enjoy, glad I had a chance to try this.

Okay, I must be missing something. I thought this was awful. Peachy bath water. I couldnít finish it. I guess I donít have the sophisticated taste buds of the other rankers.

Bottle-Poured a golden color with a small, quickly dissappearing head.Never had this style before,so the flavor which was very tart(with hints of peaches) was surprising. However once I started sipping it,it really was not that bad, just different.

short and quick thin white head. cloudy golden yellow body. aroma is under-ripe and tart white peaches in early spring. flavor is light, tart, stone fruits, and a bit astringent. an unusual anise flavor in the aftertaste. peachy-white under-ripe tartness in the finish. thanks Paul!

12 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon. Poured hazy, almost flurorescent golden. VERY weak nose. Flavor was of a very tart, peach-like tone. Definitely reminds me of the Festina Lente, just toned down a few notches.

Tap @ Blind Tiger, NYC. Pours an opaque orange with a quickly-dissipating head. Aroma is slight wheat with a strong peach and sour note thrown in. Aroma is a mixture of earth notes, peach, with a sour aftertaste. A pretty good Berliner weisse

A solid Berliner Weisse with the seemingly requisite syrupy sweetness. Good bitterness and balanced peach additions. In all, a good beer, tough style.
