3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
10/4/13. 12 oz bottle from Total Wine, Brea. Pours a very pale yellow from the bottle. Nice head but fades very quickly with some nice lacing. It was a pretty warm October day in California so this was a perfect refreshing Weisse to open up today. This was a lot more tart than I was expecting with a lot of peach and maybe a little apricot hitting the back of my throat. Wish I tried this a couple months ago so I could've enjoyed during the heat of the summer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours okay with a pale golden hazy color, a mild white head and no lacing on the glass. The beer smells decently with a nice blend of lemon zest, wheat, corriander, and white pepper. The beer tastes decent with a bitter peach and corriander flavor that gives away to a lemony bitterness. The mouthfeel is average with as the mouth is somewhat dry and bitter but the beer seemed to be overly carbonated. Overall, an average berlinerweiss with some okay blended flavor but over carbonated.

Not so impresive as other products. It was nice, somwhat sweet and smooth but the flavours were almost only a hint.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Yellow colored beer with a white head. I donít get a lot of peach. The taste is more of a tangy citrus - too tangy. I just had a hard time enjoying this.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a golden straw color. The head is a fizzy two finger white shade, that fades away to nothing very quickly. It could almost pass for a macro lager.
S: Interesting. I get a whiff of peaches, along with some acid - itís not particularly sour smelling, just acidic. It also develops tones of must, butter, and even some stank-ass cheese. After a while, the buttery notes overwhelm everything, unfortunately. Like I said, interesting, though not very good.
T: I get peaches initially. It quickly turns acidic fast (albeit with a more defined sourness than the aroma suggested), with only a finish of cream-like sweetness to balance it out. A bit cheesy at times, also. I donít know what to think of this one, other than myself not being particularly gaga about it.
M: Good lightness, but a bit too prickly in terms of both carbonation and texture. Even at 4.5%, it should be a little easier to down. At the very least, it is somewhat refreshing.
O: Iím not sure why Iím not digging this - it has the fruit-forward tartness I like from a good sour, without the ridiculous price point. I donít know, this one doesnít come together the way I wanted it to. My first sampling of the style, and it wonít be my last. This one, though, I donít need to have again.

Light peach greatness in the aroma pours a spritzy slightly hazy light yellow. Taste like tart unripe apricots with some crispness

Didnít even guess that this was supposed to be a Berliner Weisse. Thereís a nice integration here. Pours slightly cloudy blonde. Peachy malt with some apricot. Light sour finish. Average carbonation. Tap at Novare Res.

3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
To be fair with this review, this is my first sour beer EVER. Iím usually an enthusiast of dark, stout, and strong beer, but was pleasantly surprised. The Festina Peche pours a light ísummeryí al blonde color with an obvious sour aroma accent. To a newbie it curls the tongue a bit, but you can tell itís well crafted. Great immediate taste and the peach flavor lasts a good while. Although beautifully crafted, itís not a brew Iíd go back to often. If anything, it intrigues me to try new sour beers.
