cmillward (161), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours a light yellow hay color, fairly clear with some wispy, bubbly white head that fades fast. Tart sour aroma, touches of lemon. Tart and sour in the mouth, not too complex, but a nice berliner weisse. Really not picking up peaches much at all. Nicely carbonated, quenching with a dry finish.
KyotoLefty (64), Kyoto, Japan Aug 29, 2008 Very light gold color, thin, with a thin head that quickly dissipates. Dry aroma of wheat malt, citrus, peach, spices. Similar to a Belgian wit but without the sweetness. Slightly funky. Dry flavor, wheat malt with lots of peach. Thin and dry, yet a good sweetness seems to come from the peaches. Very interesting and well-balanced, going back and forth from dry to sweet, thin to rich. It’s really fun, and slightly funky. Spicy, citrus. It is really interesting, original, and especially well done.
1_2many (220), Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2008 Alefest sample filtered through berries. Cloudy yellow with a small head. Aroma is straight up raspberries and peach which is okay but not really what I look for in a beer. Malt? Hops? Flavor is sweet with a lot of sourness. I’m not big on sour but whatever. I’m tired of describing this. Haslinger (518), Syracuse, New York, USA Aug 25, 2008 12 ounce bottle, awesome peachy taste, kind of bad cheap iced tea aftertate though. Fizzyish taste not my fav. beer. No buy again Baumgartner (66), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. Light malt aroma an a little yeastie. Pours hazy yellow brew with a rich white head. Very acidic flacor with hints of peach. The entire head dispated quickly. flatmatt (74), Northville, Michigan, USA Aug 23, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours very pale, somewhat hazy gold with a giant fizzy head that delays a full pour by several minutes. Aroma is very sour, but that’s about it. Interesting sour flavor with some definite wheat and fruity flavors, one of which is indeed peach alongside apple and pear. A little sweetness along with the sourness. Rather thin palate. Definitely an interesting beer; interesting enough to make me want to try some more sour beers.
