Let’s start with im a huge raspberry fan. This nose and flavor is all raspberries. Not really to much beer inthere. The alcohol is ramped up pretty hard in the finish. This would be tough to drink the whole bomber.

This one was a lucky find. Poured into a tulip glass, with no head pretty much, and little lacing. First scent was instant raspberries, followed by light spice, or more than likely the high ABV. Upon the first sip first impression was bitter raspberries, light carbonation and VERY strong alcohol. The aftertaste of this beer was rather sweet, maybe too sweet with the follow of what felt like pure vodka. While a complex and fairly strong beer, I’m not sure what the hype was with this one. I did enjoy getting smashed off of something delicious, but it is likely I will never get this again.

750 ml. bottle- Shared with Poisoneddwarf- Pours somewhat cloudy with a thin white head and poor lacework, aroma is raspberries and alcohol. The flavor is raspberries, a little tartness, creamy, smooth. There is a strong alcohol presence, almost overbearing, but thats the point with a fortified beer. A sipper for sure, quality beer, but not for me.

Reviewed from notes. Poured into a snifter. The color is a reddish-orange with a tiny head that quickly dissipates. The nose is just straight-up raspberries and booze. A nice sweetness and a bit of a tart character. The taste is similar with it almost acting as a liqueur. Right now, this is definitely too boozy although I could see it aging fairly well as long as a good bit of the fruit holds up. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-10-2010

Bottle shared by a friendly soul at One Funky Afternoon on 4/2/11. Cloudy red pour with no head. Aroma of raspberries, syrup and booze. Flavor is sticky raspberry syrup with some boozy dryness through to the finish. Not unlike a sweet raspberry wine (except no grapes).

750 ml bottle into tulip, shared with Brenn79; thanks bro. Pours a cantaloupe hue with a medium white dissipating head. Aroma is very alcoholic--almost port-like. Raspberries are here in abundance--it’s almost pungent. Taste is almost cloyingly sweet. Carbonation is medium-high, body is full. Hard to choke this down, but I recognize the quality represented here.

The beer pours a murky cloudy gold with no head or lacing. The aroma is medium with a dominant alcoholic raspberry marshmellow. The taste is mostly alcohol that burns on the way down with a very little amount of alcohol. The feel is nice it coasts your throat like cough syrup. Despite the abv it is actually totally drinkable, I could totally crush this and as bonus bet cracked. Overall, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting something more fruity to kill the alcohol. Instead there was a slight sweetness that merely muted the alcohol. This has potential but its not quite there yet.
