Aroma: fig and raspberry preserves, you can sniff the booze right into your throat, merlot wine cork, maybe some rose, very complex; Appareance: nondeScript, hazy autumn orange; Taste: I expected tart, but none whatsoever, instead, very sweet, a lot of fig, truly, exactly like a port but with a little carbonation, some walnut maybe, of course raspberry (black, not red), I expected something like New Glarus’s offerings, but this was nothing like those, quite unique, and, again, quite complex; Palate: warm feel in the gut, very drinkable, but I’d sip it, just a general fruity aftertaste; Overall: my wife and I just had our 2nd child, another girl (now I’m outnumbered 3 to 1), anyhow, I’ve been saving this one for about a year now, waiting for my wife to enjoy it with me, she loved it too, we’ll buy another if we can find it at our FLW&SS, highly recommend it

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured in a light shade of pink, light pink head aroma is mostly booze but you certainly get the raspberries. Taste is raspberry, malts and lots of booze. Great beer, quite enjoyable.

Bottle (12oz $10): (2015) orange color with very little head. Aroma was a fruity Belgian. Taste was very very raspberry. Quite sweet. slight alcohol burn then more sweetness. Actually does not drink like an 18% ABV.

Pours a clear reddish brown with a thin creamy head. Smells of raspberry and caramel. Taste is tart, mildly sour, sweet - raspberries dominate.

This tastes more like some high octane raspberry wine than a beer except boozier..

Draft sample. The beer is a clear amber color with a white head of foam. The aroma has dark fruits like raspberries and blackberries and sweee pie filling. The taste is very sweet and fruity. Lots of booze character and a mild burn on the finish. A little too drinkable for the alcohol. Big body and lower to medium carbonation.

bottle from kappldav123 - cheers! Amber with a red glow, dense head. Fruity nose. Malty start with lots of raspberries. Not too sweet, the raspberry character is well retained.

750ml bottle: This one pours a red tinged clear amber color. There was about no head or lacing to it. The aroma is nice. Some raspberries with a little tartness to them. The taste is quite good. Tart raspberries with a nice ale backing them up. You don’t even notice the alcohol until its too late!

Bottle @ WWT IV, small sample. Hazy purple color, short head. Strong fruity nose, quite alcoholic as well. Thick, fruity, quite sweet. Bit too alcoholic.

Bottle at WWT. Reddish brown with short lasting head. Raspberry jelly, dough, strawberries, hoerenkots, caramel. Then some rotten strawberries come through. Taste is quite sweet with an alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied with lots of alcohol, bit too much alcohol for me.
