2006 Bottle from Eric.. thank you. Pour is a pinkish cloudy aber.. yeast sediment present. Scent is raspberry, yeast, oak, cough medicine, simple syrup. Taste is raspberry, malt, bread, caramel, citrus, slightly sour. Thicker and less carbonated than I anticipated. More of a malt liquor than a fruit beer. Nice but not what I was expecting... def boozy.

Aroma is raspberries and a really strong alcohol/whatnot. The flavor is raspberries, mild sweetness, malts and a slightly sour/increasingly alcoholic finish.

On tap @ HO1K beers. Pours a dark amber with a white head of foam. Aroma of tart cherry and other fruits. Taste is semi-sweet and tart fruity flavors with a warm alcohol finish. Somewhat medicinal and the alcohol overpowers the fruit flavors. Not as good as I had hoped for.

Draft at HOTB. Raspberries and malt backbone with a strong warming alcohol sensation. Smooth for such a strong beer. Pretty. Good. Will knock u on your arse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a ruby/brown with a fair off white head. Fruity aroma, berries mostly. Sweet, tongue coating roasted malt, berries, slight tartness, smokey and boozy, yet smooth and well balanced. A very good sipper.

Clear pinkish Amber with an off-white head. Aroma of raspberries, vanilla, and grain. Taste is sweet, boozy, and full of raspberry. Medium-full bodied, boozy.

On tap at brewery. Usually I expect this kind of wallop from an Imperial Stout or a barleywine. This one come from a jar of jelly, at least that’s what it smells like. Silky pour, aroma of berries, taste comes on full fruit with associated alcohol burn. Really strong, but tasty. It will just take a while to get through....

Smell is super nice raspberry. Taste is like an amber with sweet raspberry syrup. Hides the ABV incredibly well. Medium to full body, low carbonation, and no foam.

Poured from bottle into snifter. Pours a clear copper with thin rapidly fading white head. Aroma - lots of raspberry as expected, but there is some vanilla and alcohol on the nose as well. Taste is pretty hot - could definitely have let this cellar. Raspberry notes prevalent as well, but this tastes like a barleywine without any real hop character then raspberries thrown in. It is certainly not bad, but given its price, I wouldn’t buy again.
