3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was a must try with all the talk about this one. It pours with a red hue and has big notes of raspberries. The mouthfeel drives the heavy fruit flavor along with the base of a big ABV. Nice to try.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
2009 bottle. Want some raspberry liqueur? This has a decent aroma and isn’t offensive on the tastebuds, but isn’t worth more than a few ounces. Even after 5 years it was incredibly boozy. I poured a good deal of it out after sharing with some friends.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
"as wonderful as world wide stout is at this same strength, this one comes off a touch boozy and sticky sweet. i still didn’t dislike it, but for the price, it just wasn’t worth it. the raspberry portion is well done. sweet, and slightly tart. the aroma was ok...it had a certain funkiness to it that i’m still not sure what to think of. good full body, but too sticky. good aftertaste. 2012 batch a little herbal, which ended up going well with the sweet fruit."

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle from backlog notes. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big raspberry character, some caramel, lots of alcohol, I wasn’t aware of the abv when I grabbed this, but was quickly made aware of this when I smelled and tasted this. In small doses this would be ok as an after dinner sipper.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2014 750 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse. 2008 vintage, aged intentionally to allow it to mellow out. Pours a hazy red color with no head. Aroma of tart berries, earth, booze. The taste is berries, citrus, earth, honey, prickly booze. Medium-full bodied, fairly hot still, low carbonation, almost mead-like. Pretty solid and it seems like it’s held up well. 100th Delaware rating!

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pours a lovely hazy amber with small white head. Has a very sweet aroma of raspberries and malt. Definitely taste the raspberries up front followed by a very sweet malt taste and alcohol. Leaves a lingering sweet taste at the end.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: Golden Straw/Red Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head, Some Lacing
S: Raspberries, Boozy
T: Raspberries, Boozy
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Sweet, Boozy
Overall, a different type of beer but you definitely get the boozy flavor on the back end of the sweetness, almost too much.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle, 2011 vintage. Big thanks to caterwaul for sharing this one. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Good lace. A very impressive appearance, especially for an 18% beer. Raspberry, some light rubbing alcohol in the nose. Light yogurt. Bigger body, but a more dry finish. Very light carbonation. Lightly sticky. Great raspberry, light spice. Some very light vinous notes. Big warmth, some alcohol, but not nearly as much alcohol taste as you’d expect from 18%. Little to no burn nor bite. Moderate sweet, but not at all cloying. Awesome raspberry jam flavor. Light jolly rancher. Very impressive big beer to sip on. Maybe a slightly more intense raspberry flavor would have been cool, like kuhnhenn raspberry eisbock, but this on the other hand hides the alcohol better and is less cloying sweet. Awesome big fruit beer to sip on.
