swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 15, 2007 Bottle @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pours a rather thick golden. rather sweet caramel taste & pretty hoppy. Hides the 9% pretty well. Tasty VikingHammer (362), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA Nov 14, 2007 Pours a clear golden with a big fluffy white head. Clove and banana aroma. Hops start out then leads to a sweet malts and alcohol dry finish.
Interesting beer. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Nov 13, 2007 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Huge aroma of fresh pilsner malt and a touch of floral hops. Taste is sweet fresh pilsner malt, floral hops, and a bit of alcohol. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and a touch of alcohol warmth. Deserves a much higher rating. Very good. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Nov 12, 2007 From bottle : Pours a clear light gold color with a finger of white foamy head. Smell of dry hops and a touch of alcohol. Taste is very much dry hops, with a moderate amount of bitterness, and maybe even some malts on the way down. Medium bodied, and dry on the palate, pretty good, just nothing super special about this guy. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 10, 2007 There is nothing that really jumps out at you from this beer. It is smooth and easy to drink, but it is nothing special. I would also say that it is a good representation of the Imperial Pilsner style but I have had better from Rock Bottom and Rouge. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Nov 5, 2007 Pale yellow body beneath a small white head. Could not descern anything in particular in the nose. Wisps of things but nothing fathomable. Highly carbonated and thin. Flavor was as non-descript as the aroma. Am surprised by the 87%ile rating.
RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Nov 3, 2007 Poured a crisp, clear, golden color into the lager glass. A quick forming two inch white fluffy head calmed to a half inch, then stayed around. The scent was of hops, sweet fruit and some citrus. A good representation of the style, but not a beer I would seek out again. BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Oct 31, 2007 Bottle thanks to miketd. Poured a clear golden color with a moderate white head that diminishes to a ring. Nice malt aroma with some piney hops. Taste is hard for me to describe. Slight citrus taste accompanies the pilsner malt into a hoppy finish. Somewhat sticky on the palate, evident by the lacing left in the glass. I am not a big pilsner fan, but this was pretty easy to drink. Thanks Mike.
