Poured a clear golden color with a moderate white head that diminishes to a ring. Nice malt aroma with some piney hops. Taste is hard for me to describe. Slight citrus taste accompanies the pilsner malt into a hoppy finish. Somewhat sticky on the palate, evident by the lacing left in the glass. I am not a big pilsner fan, but this was pretty easy to drink. Thanks Mike. rocbyter (910), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Strong malt aroma with moderate amount of piney hops. Slightly dark clear golden color not much foam in there. Light start with some tang. Pine hop bitterness in the finish. Good amount of carbonation. The palate is slightly creamy in the finish but still light and refreshing in the beginning. pjweaver (133), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Bottle poured into Pilsner Glass. Pours a golden apricot color, with a soapy beige-white head. Aroma smells soapy with all of the hops, which may explain what i thought of the flavor.
Boozy and bready, with an overwhelming antiseptic taste. I’m surprised how disappointed I am with this beer, but then again I usually find their beers overdone. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Bottle. Floral hops in the nose. Clear golden body with a soapy beige head. Sweet and flowery taste with a little bit too much lingering perfume, and not really the Saazy type. Pepper. Some of the other reviews have the right idea, this is much more Polish in character than it is Czech. Medium, malty body with a soft midsection but a bite on entrance and exit. Bit of an alcohol rush at the end. Aftertaste is odd and a bit antiseptic. Slightly bready dry-hopping comes out after a while. Not super exciting, but not cloying or boozy, as was expected. When I poured this beer, the color was deep apricot, and the head was perfect and light. The flavor was excellent. You can tell a medium amout of hops were used i the making. The flavor just sits on your tongue. Over all, I would say that this is a great beer, and one of the top Imperial Pilsners around. bobaidan (359), Farmington, Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Pours a gorgeous gold color with a small white head. Aroma is floral hops and just a touch of malt. The flavor surprised me in that I actually liked it (not a big pilsner fan). There are just enough flavor hops in this to make it very good. Finish is bitter, but clean. Still not my first choice in styles, but the best example I’ve found to date. jobyone (234), Charlotte, USA

Overwhelming hoppy aroma. lots of bitterness in the taste. Takes a while to drink and makes most other beer seem bland pet3rman (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2007 small white head over top a dark gold body. aroma was floral with some malt. I haven’t had a pilsner in a while so it was tough to compare, however, I am sure this one is up their in the top tier as far as pilsners go.
