Sep 26, 2007 Pours a fairly clear bright gold color with a smallsh white head. Smells slightly malty, some grain, and mild hops. The flavor was quite big and bold with a definite bitterness. The malts were pretty noticeable with the hops moreso in the finish. A little bit of grain was noticeable but the high alcohol seemed to mask it and make it more bitter. I probably could just drink a glass of this at one time, because the alcohol was big and the flavor wasnt enough to back it up. Still, an interesting take on the style.

Sep 24, 2007 Intense gold beer, big floofy head. Tart stonefruit, malty, hoppy aroma with light coconut tones. Hoppy, lightly astringent, alcohol bitter, toasty. Tangy/toasty on the lips, light grain sweetness. I was surprised that I actually liked this - DFH is usually overwrought. Finishes with a substantial, yet controlled bitterness, and some grassiness. Sep 24, 2007 I got this for around $14 for a 4 pack. This was really good beer to stand around the grill and drink. It finished clean, and was a little more bitter than normal pilsner

Sep 24, 2007 More of an orange color than gold, but I guess "Orange Era" (or "orange shower") doesn’t have the same ring to it. Aroma is a little piney, maybe even a white wine component thrown in. Heavy, toasty and viscous. Surprisingly hoppy, bitter finish.

Sep 22, 2007 Pale golden with almost no apparent carbonation. Aroma is grassy and resinous... strongly pilsner. Taste is same, with stingingly bitter and citrusy hop presence and a bitter and biscuity finish. $5/12oz

Sep 22, 2007 Crystal clear dark yellow color. definitely looks like my piss tomorrow morning. I’m not getting anything more than alcohol in the aroma, maybe a little grass. Taste is redemptive. Surprisingly big earthy hoppiness. Grass, lemon, and a rich biscuit sweetness. Flavor is balanced and I don’t notice the alcohol despite its prominence in the aroma. Above average.
