Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2007 Intense gold beer, big floofy head. Tart stonefruit, malty, hoppy aroma with light coconut tones. Hoppy, lightly astringent, alcohol bitter, toasty. Tangy/toasty on the lips, light grain sweetness. I was surprised that I actually liked this - DFH is usually overwrought. Finishes with a substantial, yet controlled bitterness, and some grassiness. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane. grimtiith2002 (2), Delaware, Ohio, USA does not count Sep 24, 2007 I got this for around $14 for a 4 pack. This was really good beer to stand around the grill and drink. It finished clean, and was a little more bitter than normal pilsner Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 24, 2007 More of an orange color than gold, but I guess "Orange Era" (or "orange shower") doesn’t have the same ring to it. Aroma is a little piney, maybe even a white wine component thrown in. Heavy, toasty and viscous. Surprisingly hoppy, bitter finish. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Sep 24, 2007 From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice bitter flavor with a good aftertaste. Carl99Fan (186), Suwanee, Georgia, USA Sep 22, 2007 Beautiful golden color...had bottle at Taco Mac in Suwanee GA...$10.50/bottle..not sure if it was worth it. A good beer, very hoppy. Arayaga2 (933), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 22, 2007 Pale golden with almost no apparent carbonation. Aroma is grassy and resinous... strongly pilsner. Taste is same, with stingingly bitter and citrusy hop presence and a bitter and biscuity finish. $5/12oz Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 22, 2007 Crystal clear dark yellow color. definitely looks like my piss tomorrow morning. I’m not getting anything more than alcohol in the aroma, maybe a little grass. Taste is redemptive. Surprisingly big earthy hoppiness. Grass, lemon, and a rich biscuit sweetness. Flavor is balanced and I don’t notice the alcohol despite its prominence in the aroma. Above average. miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Sep 21, 2007 Pours absolutely clear with a very small, fizzy head. Aroma is of pine and bready malts. I’m getting something else that I can’t put my finger on. A quick hit of hops quickly disolves into a sweet finish and pretty watery mouthfeel. Don’t detect much alcohol, so if this is 9 percent it is well hidden.
