omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2003 Home-bottled by hopsrus (thanks!!!) Golden colour. Grassy hops, citrus and rum in the nose. Loads of sweet malt, rounded and peppery. More or less a typical, albeit well made, strong Polish lager. Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 17, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Comes as "Dogfish Head Golden Shower". Pours a clear, deep golden with a dense, yellowish head. Sweetish, malty nose. Very full-bodied with a very solid malt base and a discreet bitterness. When it comes to Imperial Pilseners this is definitely one of the better examples. 160607 joergen (6147), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2006 Bottle.

Medium body with a sweet finish. argo0 (6019), Washington DC, USA May 2, 2006 BuckNaked told me he had an unpleasant experience having a Golden Shower by himself, so the other night I asked my neighbor Tom if he wanted to join me for one this evening, and he readily accepted. I had never tried a Golden Shower before, but thought that Tom would be a good guy with whom to experiment. When the festivities commenced this evening, I was impressed by the crystal clear golden liquid that spewed forth, a large pillowy foam collecting atop the fluid. The smell was moderately sweet, and both orange and floral. Neither of us had had asparagus recently, and we encountered no notes of that vegetable. The taste of the elixir was moderately sweet, mostly orange and bread, with some alcohol and light grassiness detected -- hoppy but not especially bitter. A light mint flavor later appeared as the liquid approached room temperature. The mouthfeel was soft and medium-full, with some stickiness. I can’t say that the experience left me wanting to do it regularly, but if I was with the right person, I could see trying another Golden Shower.
