Big craters with gobs of lace leaving cheesecloth. Brown sugar, light lemon, some skunk. Tastes of carmelized hops and peel, with maple. Dense and chewy, light carb. I sampled this fresh a year ago when i bought the bottle and hops helped the balance a bit. Now just a dusty sweetness. RCL (1499), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Pours out golden orange with a thick white head. Orange hops and malt in the aroma. Thick mouthfeel, very hoppy, with hints of grapefruit and pine. Finishes with a bitter hoppiness on the back of the tongue and a little thickness from the heavy malt. While not my favorite DFH, I find it very interesting and well worth a try. GreatLibations (1470), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2006 Golden orange in color with a sizable, spritzy froth that is short lived. Aroma of sweet malt with fesh, clean hops pushing through. Full nectar with few pin sized bubbles. Ample residual effers. Sticky fruit flavors with a spicey character including vanilla, clove, and caramel. The hops try to crisp it up on the finish however the effort is futile leaving just a fragment of asprin on the tongue. Overall: On the sweet side yet complex. Interesting and worthy. Highly recommended. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2003 The initial pour was quite hazy, but after sitting a bit, the body cleared out into a fine golden yellow hue, with a thin, but persistent, white head. The aroma has a nice blend of malt and hops. Slight bitterish hops and smooth, sweet caramel and grassy malt. Almost no hint of the intense alcohol. Initially quite hoppy in flavor, before fading to sweet malt and coming back around to sweet hops. Surprisingly sweet for a pilsener. As one would guess, this is perhaps not the most representative beer as far as style, but the flavor remains fairly close and the beer is well balanced despite its deviation from the style and its absurd alcohol level. Something I could certainly drink again. Thanks to hopsrus for bottle and TAR for delivering this beautiful bottle of bubbly bliss. adrian910ss (1445), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a beautiful clear orange golden color with a thick white head(color is identical to John Bonham’s drumkit circa 1973-1975). Aroma is full of malts, citrus and fresh yeast. Taste is very similar to the 90 min IPA, full of fresh citrusy hops, fresh sourdough bread, yeast and sweetness. Excellent !! The best pilsner I’ve had to date by far !! robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

pours a golden yellow, with lots of head that lasts a long time.
very hoppy aroma, but sharp hops, very biitter smelling hops with a nice maltiness. Flavour is very crisp, and quite bitter in the end. the noble hps dominate the flavour, alcohol is hiden very well.
