Slightly sweet and malty. ABV is very noticeable. Mild spice and banana in the aftertaste with some citrus hop bite. Very barleywine like. Interesting beer for sure.

Bottle. Pours clear to orangey amber with large foamy beige/whitish head. Honey aroma. Full thick bodied. Seemed to get hoppier as it got warmer. Only a slight pilsner taste. I liked this one.

Pours a medium gold with average head. Quite hoppy but also has some malt mixed in. A little bitter and not quite as good as I had hoped. But not bad.

2nd June 2008. Lots of smooth juicy hops but very little bitterness. A smooth lasgerish malt balances the hops well. A tasty, seductive and easy drinking pilsner.

Bottle. Golden pour with a white head. Standard pilsner aroma, with maybe more hops and alcohol. Decent, full flavor, but relatively simple. Well done, but not exciting.

12oz bottle courtesy of my Secret Santa. Pours a golden orange/yellow body with a thick, very creamy looking snow white head. Excellent retention and some very nice lacing as well. Nose is oddly silent coming from this brewery. I get some floral hops, malt, some doughy notes and not much else. Even those aromas are very hard to coax out of the glass. Fore is finally some spicy, citric hops, along with a malty backing, and adding in some pine, BC powder and some metallic notes. Very heavily astringent. Feels like battery acid on the palate. Finish is very bitter, very lengthy, and then finally settles to a malty sweetness, but the bitterness never goes away. Alcohol is well hidden in the aroma and the flavor composition, only hinted at by a subtle warming sensation as the beer is consumed. Tastes pretty good, but ultimately the lack of aroma kills this one.

not too impressed with this one, poured into clear plastic cup(it’s all I had) had a stronger bold yeastie/fruity presence than I thought, poured a dark yellow with whity frothy head, very strong on the front..

bottle. Aroma: Bready, green apples, pepper, floral and grassy hops, and a bit of caramel. Appearance: Medium golden in color and clear. Head was white, full, and rocky. Good lacing. Flavor: Sweet malt with a noticeable caramel flavor, fresh bread, perfumey hops and grass, and a good spicy pepperiness. A little alcohol noted in the finish, but alcohol is well hidden over all. Palate: Medium-full bodied and smooth. High carbonation was a little prickly. Finish was very sweet and a little syrupy. A little alcohol warming in the back of my mouth. Overall: Pretty good overall, but a little too sweet. There’s some nice noble hop flavor here, but it’s overwhelmed by the malt sweetness. Still, worth a taste.
