General_Gao (2297), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Apr 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange-golden color. Head was white and reduce over a minute or so to a thin film. A bit of lace was left behind. Attractive aroma of malty caramel, fresh cereal grain, citrus, and noble hops. There was also an occasional whiff of pineapple. Slightly sweet up front with flavors of cooked vegetables, noble hops, flower blossom, and a hint of honey. Medium bodied with a dry bitter finish. At 9%, there wasn’t a great deal of alcohol flavor. Pretty good.
Rciesla (674), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden body hence the name golden shower. Real classy design here i laughed. Hoppy all the way with a moderate malt base, some light fruit and caramel. eh. Hophead22 (42), Redlands, California, USA Jun 22, 2008 Incredible aroma, must have spent 5 min. just smelling the glass. Taste lived up to the aroma. Excellent overall beer, would buy it over and over again. If I could find it in So. Cal IPAaLLtHEwAY (83), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Jun 22, 2008 I am very happy to have gotten ahold of a golden shower bottle for my collection.Pours a nice hazy orangish/yellow color. Some quickly disipating white head.Flavor is sweet/caramel/and citrus with a mild burn on the way down. An excellent expierience. sleepylopes (231), New York, USA Jun 10, 2008 pours a dehydrated piss color with a decent head that goes down with a quickness. notes of honey although its not sweet in aroma and nice noble hop grassy. like a pils on crack. flavor is likewise, enjoyble and not as strong as the abv would suggest. nice i like the fresh grass and hey, its lawnmower beer if you have a small lawn and have to get the job done quick. i wish they kept the old name ante (2449), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden May 28, 2008 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear dark golden/orange colour with a small white head. Fresh noble grassy hops, minerals with fruity undertones of apricots. Medium to full-bodied with notes of apricots, tangerine, minerals and grassy elegant hops. Gives an extremely well-balanced impression. Long finish of grassy and mineraly hops with fruity undertones of yellow fruit. Much better than Samuel Adams version IMO.
