| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Pours a fairly clear bright gold color with a smallsh white head. Smells slightly malty, some grain, and mild hops. The flavor was quite big and bold with a definite bitterness. The malts were pretty noticeable with the hops moreso in the finish. A little bit of grain was noticeable but the high alcohol seemed to mask it and make it more bitter. I probably could just drink a glass of this at one time, because the alcohol was big and the flavor wasnt enough to back it up. Still, an interesting take on the style. MHED (112), lisle, USA

Started out molasses/malty sweet with subtle floral and very little pepper. Middle and end were both malty sweet and finished slightly heavy but clean. I think some time would do this beer good. Pricey, but not bad for a lager. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2006 Beer pours a clear medium-dark gold color with a small, frothy, white, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma is malty with husky notes of toasted grain; hoppy with moderate-to-heavy notes of resin/pine, grapefruit; yeasty with moderate notes of dough; miscellaneous notes of pear and peach. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderaetly-to-heavily bitter with a long, heavily warm moderately bitter-sweet finish. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively. legion242 (1588), Richardson, Texas, USA

First sip is very aggresive- a lager version Arrogant maybe. The dry hops are very forwward. Alcohol causing a bit of burn on the tongue and it really lingers. Hot. jskendzel (602), Washington DC, USA

Wait a second - there’s a face with a big afro in the foam! Maybe that’s the patron of golden showers. Sweet flavors (honey, bubblegum, syrup) with hops. Not really a pilsner but a very enjoyable beer. And now I have to pee...
