3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2013 Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a finger and a half length head that goes away somewhat slowly. Smells of lots of citrus fruits from the centennial hops. Grapefruit, orange, maybe some pineapple, definitely get a lemon rind smell as well, some booze. A tiny hint of some sweet breadiness from the malt, but is overtaken by the intense citrus scents. Taste starts with a decent amount of bitterness, as well as some grapefruit, orange, and lemon. Get a nice creamy middle from the malt, along with some sweetness, but still getting more abrasive. Then the finish is tons of resinous hop flavors and a lot more lemon. Get a lot of grapefruit, a lot of pine, some orange. A ton of lemon rind, which is the last flavor to go on the finish. Almost get like a "cleaner" type flavor. More sweet breadiness shows through on the finish, which makes for a more balanced beer as it warms. It’s a much better beer at a warmer temperature. A slight touch of booze on the finish that doesn’t quite go well with the other flavors. Mouthfeel is creamy, oily, and somewhat sticky. high medium body. There are some good qualities to this beer, but overall it was a slight miss in my opinion for where my expectations were at.

Sampled at ESBLS. A coppery and almost clear beer. A pine aroma dominates. Pine Sol. Big pine is also tasted along with equally big citrus. Lemons, too. A hop bomb. Big malts but they don’t stand a chance here. A tasty one, too.

Not enough lemon to cover the hops. Mouthfeel suffers from the thinness of the lemon. Cloudy look, clean taste.

Tap at The Oak. Pours cloudy golden-orange with a big foamy head that fades quickly and leaves great webbing. Aroma is like caramel lemon pie mixed with dank hops. Very interesting. Taste is pretty much the same. Lemon peel, caramel, wet leaves, and maybe a touch of pine. Sticky mouthfeel that resembles a barleywine. Interesting beer and nice to sip on. Especially because it was the end of the keg that filled only half my glass so it was free.

Hops, lemon, yeast, treacle. A murky orange brown color. Taste is a lot like a Belgian. The heat from the alcohol stings throughout.

Bottle bought at City Beer in February 2014.
A bit hazy golden/orange with a white head. Rather sweet with lemon, some pineapple, hay and malt. Also some light "spices". Relaxed and easy to drink.

@Gyllenbock: ganska trevlig humledoft med en touch av citrus. Smaken är trevlig med fin balans. Inte fantastisk men helt ok.
