2011 bottle pours copper with two finger white head. Earth, orange citrus, resin. Smack you in the face bitter. Body is full, crisp, and acidic.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: Pours a nice honey ale with brilliant clarity and a single finger of peanut colored head which dissipates within a couple minutes to a broken sheet of the same. Cobweb lacing. Head is difficult to reignite despite vigorous stir in the glass. (3.5)
S: Hmmm, hoppy, and deceptive me thinks. Initially I get citrus, pine, resin. Then, as I take time to hit the layered texture of this brew, I get hints of bubble gum, cilantro, fresh mint, and just the slightest hint of anise. Maybe even some white peppercorns. The malt profile seems vienna in highlights. (3.5)
T: Interesting, is that lime? lemongrass? rosemary? Ginger? Theres something fun here that dominates the palate but is difficult for me to pinpoint. Doesnít really match the nose as well as I would expect, like a two headed beast. Has an american oak aspect to it - spicy and woody with hints of tannins. The malts are sweet and comprise the backbone. If Iím grading strictly on flavor I have to give this a 4: itís unique, unoffensive and intriguing. (4)
M: Medium body with spritely carbonation. Neither cloying nor dry on the finish for me. I believe this beer would be in the 9%ABV range. (3)
O: Iím having difficulty deciding on this beer. Itís fun, worth a try and something for a tea drinker I believe. I think this would pair well with some nice, spicy thai food. (3.5)

Poured from bomber into tulip. Pours a dark golden brown with moderate head. Subdued hoppy aroma. Flavor follows. For being a 10% DIPA, I though this was quite restrained. Not a bad thing though, fairly balanced, though the malt was a bit much at times (tho I blame that more on the abv). Lemon flavor is incredibly subtle and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. All said, this is a solid, well made beer, but it lacks the creative touch that it's label suggests.

Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours a light transparent amber with off white head. Aroma is very bitter with floral undertones, hints of citrus and malts. Taste starts very bitter up front that lingers, but balances more with a citrus taste.

Clear amber color, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is lemon, resin, citrus, light caramel. Medium bodied, high bitterness, light peppery alcohol, pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma - tart from the lemons, floral notes from centennial hops and slight malt nose with zing of alcohol.
Color - copper orange with some hints of brown.
Flavor - well balanced with hops, malt and lemons. Lemon is not over powering. Slight maltiness comes through the hops and lemons.
Mouthfeel - full bodied and highly carbonated. Oils from the hops and lemons add slight oil slick feeling on tongue.
Overall Impression - very well balanced for the ABV of 10%. Lemon is apparent but not overwhelming. Hops add a nice bitterness without overpowering the lemon and malt flavor. Another great beer from DFH.

Nice orange brown cloudy pour. Mostly white, thick head. Has a hoppy smell like most centennial IPAs, but there is a strong aroma of lemon. Unique taste. Again, like your typical IIPA with centennial hops, buy very very citrusy from the lemon. Never had so much lemon flavor in a beer. this beer is no where close to as smooth as 90 minute. Much harsher. Still very good. Another greatly unique beer from Dogfish Head. Had the Midas Touch earlier, which was very different. Great job to them creating different tasting brews.

Definitely poured like I expected - hazy with a thick foamy head. The aroma of lemon peel takes over your nose. The hops & citrus are very up front from the beginning.

On draught at 2013 Holiday Ale Festival. Full golden color. Intense aroma of grapefruit, passionfruit, and pine hops. Taste is hop forward, with tangerine, grapefruit, and passionfruit, with a hint of sweet malts. Finishes with a pleasing bitterness and citrus note.
