Really enjoying this one. Smooth ale tatse with notes of vanilla and maple. Oak finish is subtle, but very nice.

As smooth a barley wine as I’ve encountered though the finish does have a zippy, alcohol-influenced tingle. The aroma is very thick, and with a little effort reveals vanilla and yeast with hints of smoke. The taste is evenly sweet and not too heavy. Poured from a bottle.

Pours natural maple syrup brown, slight foam head. Aroma of caramel notes, toast, wood, warm & sweet. First sip sweetish on back tongue, hides alcohol content. Smooth, aftertaste is lightly sweet, almost scotchy. Good beer for after dinner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The pour is an amber color. The aroma is mostly malt. The taste has a complexness to it, kind of a mess. Don't get any of the flavor profile I was expecting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I wasn’t overly impressed at first but as it warmed it won me over. A lot going, Vanilla from the barrel ( I think it would lose something if it ages), smokiness, maple and umami reminiscent of maple cured bacon. Can’t detect gin notes from the juniper berries (hint of sour)? Caution: Alcohol is well hidden. I’m a big dude and I feel pretty good. Unique and worth a try.

Bottle poured Amber with off white head. Aroma was an array of dark fruit plum dates light smoke maple. Taste oak maple plum dates black raisin maybe touch of molasses. Warming in the stomach
