dark brown color with hints of red, a light creamy head – brussels lace, an excellent malty aroma – caramel and brown-sugar as well, lightly hoppy, a touch of alcohol; strong roasted malt flavor, definite hop presence though not overwhelming, caramel, a touch of bitterness and alcohol, nice rich texture

Draught at the Beavertown Brewery taproom on 26-Sep-2015 as part of the Rainbow Project. Good brown colour with a tan coloured bead. Softly carbonated. Flavour of caramel, coffee, malt and hops. A really nice imperial brown ale with a lot of flavour.

Pours a dark brown from a bottle. Aroma of espresso and molasses, flavor similar except brown sugar added into the mix. Wish I was tasting those raisinets, that sounds interesting, but I’m just not getting it. Good beer.

Bottled, poured into glass. A really solid brown ale. Nice nose, big malt body, and a beautiful finish. Very easy drinking but full of flavor. Great stuff.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Certainly one of the best brown ales I’ve had. Aroma is barley, malts, and toasted sugar...taste is lots of caramelized sugar, brand flakes...hops too...finish is dry enough with some lingering sweetness and grainy flavor...adequately fizzy...it smells like autumn...
