Odd combination of flavors. Is it a brown or is it an IPA. I guess I am a more traditionalist in this aspect. Notes of coffee and molasses mixed with an infusion of hops that gives it an overly alcoholic vibe. Beautiful large frothy head that is rather lasting

Bouteille 12 oz. Achetée au Half Time (Poughkeepsie). Robe d’un brun cuivrée. Riche arôme de malt rôti, de noix, de caramel, de vanille et de chocolat. Le goût suit. Proposition fort intéressante, de beaucoup supérieure à la moyenne des Brown ales.

Dark brown. Very thin head. Tastes like a new castle with balls. Smells nutty. Brown sugar.

My overall favorite in cooler seasons. This beer is tough to beat, by itself or with the right food pairings. The perfect blend of sweet maltiness with a nice hop bite.

Deep amber with foamy Lacy lasting tan head; aroma is sweet and reminiscient of something that is a very fond memory but innappropriate to mention here; Flava is of smoked cheddar with a slightly tart citrus finish; crisp and lightish but not watery.

02-MAY-2013, bottle @appartment in Rome, from Eataly. Dark, almost clear with lasting tan head. Roasted aroma with coffee, brown sugar, plum. Taste even better than aroma. Long roasted finish, creamy, medium carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Really nice brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A - Pours a very dark brown with red edges and a khaki head that sinks down to form a nice collar and some fizzy islands. S - Some coffee and hints of chocolate, toasted malt, alcohol, green hops. T - Sweet coffee notes, rich dark roasted malts, raw brown sugar, cherries, and berry fruit. It has a very clean earthiness about it. Fresh tasting hops round this one up with a clean and flavorful bitter finish. M - Excellent. Full bodied, thick and creamy. Everything seems to be in it’s perfect place here. This is really well done. The hops are just enough to bring the awesome malt profile together. Serving type: bottle 12-16-2010

At the beginning it’s sweet and well balanced but then the alcool is too strong. A nice experiment.
