3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 mL bottle. Nice amber-orange with a small, sticky white head. Interesting aroma, with pineapple and pears. Taste is sweet and fruity, with apricot being noteworthy. The malt is definitely present as well - toast, toffee maybe. Good, but the flavour falls off quickly. Carbonation isnít too heavy. Not as bitter in the finish as some. Different. Nice beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Fiery golden, slight haze and sediment, moderate frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Somewhat of a musty and pale fruit hop aroma.   Somewhat strange.   Doesnít seem like an IIPA, not that strong in hop,
malt, or alcohol.   Barely an IPA in my book.   Sweet, a little mealy towards the end.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Musty and barnish hoppy finish.   This was really weird, very much like an aged IIPA,
but I have had this only for 5 months.   Not a bright or sharp example, muted, and even then not all that hoppy or malty.   Its an odd duck.   More like an IPA if anything.   Musty, hoppy but not biting, seems a bit stale
overall.   Donít detect the 8% ABV at all, which is nice.   Pretty boring overall, yet without any flaws.   Just tastes... well... old.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Yet another old IPA from the Millvale beer festival. Pathetic. I can't believe they charge money to dump old product. Malt bomb.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a beautiful clean golden color with a dence white head the dissipates reasonably fast. Smell is indicative of Dogfish Headís well documented citrusy hops. The initial flavor is quite smooth but some what bland and for what I would expect for a dogfish IPA. For a collaboration beer between dogfish and Sierra I would expect a much bolder flavor. All the typical dogfish IPA flavor is there but but far to muted.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle pours a slightly hazy, yellowy orange with some thin, creamy, white head. Nose of tropical fruit, some orange and grapefruit, a little birch, malty and a little floral too. Flavor is bitter, grapefruit zest, papaya, some pineapple juice, again an earthy birch-ness lurking underneath. Full, bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
7/26/2013 and 7/27/2013: Dogfish Head Life & ... Aroma: Juicy, sugary citrus with pineapple and papaya. Appearance: Shiny, bubbly golden color with and attractive and lasting ivory-colored head. Flavor: The bitersweet, perfumy start bleeds into a sugary toffee middle with a delicious, soft citrus peel finish; moderate level of bitterness overall; strong, but even bitterness and alcohol throughout. Palate: Medium-full body; smooth finish; great mouthfeel; sticky on the lips. Overall: I like the pineapple in the front and mango in the backend with a touch of resiny pine throughout; quite delicious!
Draught (sample and growler fill) at Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #91 for this beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle split with Hopswagger
Served in a SN IPA glass
A - Pours copper/amber some suspended specks. 2 fingers of rocky meringue head sit on top and sinks into a dense collar.
S - Doughy caramel malts, sweet lemon and grapefruit citrus, pungent floral hops show up when swirled.
T - Bright sweet citrus against a sweet and clean caramel malt. Hop oils coat the tongue with notes of orange blossom and leafy hops. Lemon and grapefruit pith bitterness comes strong on the finish. Grapefruit oil is left on the aftertaste.
M - Full body, soft and smooth feel, oily at times, creamy carbonation.
Very bright flavors with clean bitterness, soft and creamy mouthfeel. Hops are showcased well. Iím very glad I git to try this.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From a properly chilled bottle: Poured with a massive, cream-colored, foamy, frothy head that lasts to the bottom of the glass and good lacing. Color is a clear amber with a few bubble trails. Aroma at first reminded me of oxidized hops, but then other qualities, such as caramel malt, spice, grass, & peppers, come through and round things out. Flavorís like nose, bitter is in front, fairly dry except in the finish where some residual sweetness lies; carbonic tang is just right. Body/carbonation are perfect for this brew. Finish is as stated above, has a bit of alcohol warmth, and has some length. This is a welcome reminder of more traditional American IPAs with a sense of balance. Very quaffable.
