3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours orange-tea into the glass, with a very soda-esque look, whipped carbonation head and soapy lacing. The nose is of musty hops, earthen and floral, with spices. Flavors are spicy and dry, with caramel, bread, light toast, citrus, and finishing with toffee and vanilla, spices and a hint of biscuit flour. The easy-drinking palate and active mouthfeel provides a body of substance and complexity with a superbly smooth quaff. Sweetness opens up as it warms, and is delicious.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber in color with a nice white head. Nice bitterness here. Hops in the nose - a fairly mild double IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: Pours bright amber tinted gold. Tight bubbles within the white head.
Aroma: Toasty sweet malt, piney earthy hops.
Taste: Toasty sweet malt, piny hops. A touch fruity.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied,a tad astringent. Pleasant carbonation.
Overall: This beer was exactly what I expected. A very malt forward IPA, similar to some of the Estate beers and good old 90 Minute. I didn’t notice wheat in it, but I probably need more time with the beer. Delicious and worth trying.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I really like this beer but it is not a double IPA or Imperial IPA. How about an Imperial ESB. It is way too malty. That said it is a great ESB, with lots of malt and hops, full mouth and marshmellow flavors. yellow golden color and fair head.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
THOUGHTS: Quite underwhelming. Very interesting hop profile but it blended into the malts too much. I just thought it was an odd choice for a hop profile when you just release a glass made to showcase hop flavor and aroma. This beer has hop aroma and flavor no on is all that accustomed to. And I don’t know if the glass really makes these particular hops taste as good as more traditional hops do in this glass. Not to say you need to drink it from that glass, but the two products did come out about the same time — just sayin’. Some collaborations are incredible, but the three times these two guys got together have been disappointing to me. I guess it doesn’t help that I dislike melons.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light, orangey amber with a large, fluffy, off-white head that mostly diminished an left good lacing. The aroma had light bread, grain, cereal and caramel; moderate floral, lemon, and melon hops; light other citrus hops; and hints of minty hops. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was heavily sweet and moderately bitter with an average duration. There was caramel, melon hops, hints of minty hops, lemon hops, other citrus hops, hints of resinous hops, cereal grains, berries, alcohol and pine hops. The light to medium body was oily and somewhat syrupy with soft yet tingly carbonation and a lightly metallic finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Yellow, cloudy, with a ring of foam. Smells weird - cornbread and green peppers. Taste is corn, black peppers, and some woody, piney hops. Crisp finish. Not what I was expecting, but tasty.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a light golden with moderate white head. Aroma is lemon, grapefruit, pinesole. Taste is sweet but in a bad way for a DIPA. Pine, hay, grape come into play. Sweetness is again lingering. This is not something i’d come back to. Off. More DFH than Sierra Nevada.
