A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Little Light, White Head, Decent Lacing
S: Oranges, Cinnamon, Pine
T: Oranges, Piney, Black Pepper
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Spicey, Mildly Dry
Overall, mine was very spicey and with the orange taste, didnt really remind me of an imperial pilsner at all. A good beer but doesnt really follow the style as listed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy golden, large head, good lace/retention. Aroma is mixed with notes of bread, cereal, grass, grapefruit, pine, straw. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness, low sweetness. On paper this looks like something I wouldn’t enjoy, but this was not only tasty but well balanced.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours medium staw/golden color with big soapy white foam and insane lacing. Aromas of pear, apple, spice, esters, pine, and floral notes. Very complex. Taste is sweet with much of the same fruity esters and a medium bitterness that is balanced well. Finish is sweet with a gradually increasing bittering on the tongue.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled in 2012 C. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pear, apple, lemon zest, orange zest, grape, biscuit, cracker, toast, floral, grass, honey, pepper, light pine, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of pear, apple, lemon zest, orange zest, grape, biscuit, toast, cracker, light honey, floral, grass, light pine, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, biscuit, toast, cracker, light honey, floral, grass, light pine, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial pilsner style. All around great balance and complexity of hop, malt, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Somewhat hazy golden pour with a big coarse white head. Lots if hop aroma. Lemon, citrus, and earthy. Mild biscuit breadiness in aroma. Flavor is very similar. I pick up more lemon than anything. Citrus and earthy are second. Light malty breadiness.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from bottle at a "Dog Days of Summer" beer tasting at Total Wine and Beer in McClean, VA.
Hazy, bright amber gold with a very large cream colored head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of of pale malt, yeast, citrus and light fruit.
Taste of musty yeast, herbal hops, sweet malt, light fruit and mild spice. The mustiness was too much for me at first, but eased up with time as the beer had a chance to breathe.
Light body very foamy carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour is a slightly hazy darkish straw color with a fluffy white head. A somewhat grassy and citrusy hop aroma, some nice floral notes too, and a nice bready malt note as well. A nice grapefruity hop bite in the taste, nice light taste of straw, good biscuity malt character too. Nothing crazy, but a nice drink for a warm day. The IPA lovers pils.
