3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour is a slightly hazy darkish straw color with a fluffy white head. A somewhat grassy and citrusy hop aroma, some nice floral notes too, and a nice bready malt note as well. A nice grapefruity hop bite in the taste, nice light taste of straw, good biscuity malt character too. Nothing crazy, but a nice drink for a warm day. The IPA lovers pils.

This capped 750 cane from Costco in Eureka, CA. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a huge foamy white head. Nose is fruit and floral hops. Full in body. Smooth mouth feel. Flavor is stone fruit, citrus and both grassy and floral hop;s. Finish shows resin. Very tasty and drinkable brew that hides the alcohol well.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at Churchill’s in San Marcos. Clear golden pour. Good white lacing. Nose is not good, heavy husky malt and vegetal. Taste is sweet Abbey Tripel with massive paper piling on in the finish. Lager let alone pilsner would never be guessed.

3/09/2011: DFH My Antonia Pilsner (a continually-hopped
imperial Pils)... Aroma: Hoppy (lemon) with a hint of ginger;
biscuit; bright, but a bit faint. Appearance: Hazy yellow color;
frothy off-white crown; looks like a big Pils! Flavor:
Lemon-grapefruit-pine hop profile; mild to moderate bitterness; nice
biscuity maltiness that doesn’t get in the way of the crisp hops;
straw. Palate: Light and airy; medium weight; no problems going
down! Overall: This bad boy is tasty and hides the alcohol punch too
well since it drinks like a "regular" Pils, but delivers 7.5% behind
1 Pint 9.4 fl. oz. bottle (Bottled in 2010 28; 7.5% alc. by. vol.)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours unclear pale yellow with a nice white head, some retention. pils, light breadiness, soap, floral, low sulfur, herbal grassiness, bit perfumy and cheesy. moderate to low carbonation, light to medium body - oily, relatively short grassy-citrusy finish. falls short for a continually-hopped pils..

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Caramel malt, grassy hops, some fruit, and a little alcohol in the aroma. Flavor starts with a little caramel, then finishes with lots of flowery hop bitterness and some alcohol. Seemed like more of an IPA than a pils, but still a fine beer.

Taster at the brewery, pale yellow, white head, good lacing, smells great, good bitter finish ... An imperial lager! Great concept well executed...

Hoppy slight malt and grapey scents with some floral kinda berry notes. Yellowish orange body, bone colored head. Fruity hoppyness slight malt that breaks into a dry biscuity taste and little bit of suddle spice. Smooth on the palate.

Thanks to Sammer for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grain with some perfume hops and orange citrus notes. The flavor is pilsener malt with some lemon. Low to medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A pretty good Imperial Pilsener.
