2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A bit weak and watery. Some clove...and not much else to me. Had this on tap, and was writing these ratings down expecting to see a low score when I got online. I must be missing something based on the general population. Just didnít do it for me - was expecting something greater from Dogfish Head.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The pour is a hazy, gold color with a fairly small, white, creamy head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimal lace. The nose is pleasant with lots of citrus (orange, lemon), coriander, some grass, light clove, doughy yeast, and light grains. The flavor is similar but less appealing; very clovey and grainy, some lemon and coriander, maybe a faint vanilla note. The palate is light to medium, lively, mildly refreshing, and a bit creamy. The beer finishes dry, short, and and still phenolic with clove, lemony still, and some grass to keep from cloying. Fairly standard wit with all the typical notes but nothing to set it apart or make me want to try another. Not my favorite style but still just lacked any real character.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, powdery malt with herbaceous notes, and sweet talcum. In mouth, a nice smooth powdery malt with smooth fruity esters, ginger, not bad. On tap at Belgian Beer Fest, Sept. 10 2011.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Lightly hazy pure yellow gold hue, thatís almost lager-like; pure white head as well. Sage and spice in the aroma, with some lemon-zest and coriander. Taste is very much sage for the spice at first, then some witbier spice...coriander and pepper at points. Lighter body that comes across a bit watery at points. Decent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. Pours a great looking cloudy, bright yellow with pillowy head. Aroma is terrific, loaded with lemongrass, citrus blended in with faint banana and subtle wheaty malt, very bright and entertaining aromas. Flavor is the same but not as forth coming which was a slight disapointment, similar to getting a Asian message with no happy ending. Mouthfeel is light but yet very soft body with spritzy carbonation. Overall, I would have enjoyed more if it hadnít have come out after the 70+ days off 100 degree heat we had in Texas....its a pretty refreshing brew....bastards...:[

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml. bottle. Pours a fluffy, white, lasting white head, over a hazy yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is floral coriander, lemon, light cereal....taste is heavy lemon, coriander, finishing with a light, dry, bitter, lingering citrus....mouth feel light, carbonation (after the initial pour) medium high. This meets the style quite well, but the coriander dominates a bit too much. This is a light refreshing beer and certainly goes well with a hot summery day. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Straight pour from 750ml pry-off bottle to an Ommegang Witte tumbler, bottling date of November 2010 (I believe) printed on the neck of the bottle (201011C).
Appearance (4/5): Thick, cushiony white head that fades from two big fingers to a thin film on top over the course of a few minutes, with just a bit of foamy lacing on the sides. The body is relatively clear, and a bright light, yellow-gold. Very pretty, not as hazy as Iíd expect for a wit, though the second pour after disturbing the sediments adds quite a bit of chalky haze.
Smell (8/10): Lemon, coriander, some sweetness, a mild yeasty note thatís just very subtly spicy, which fits for the wit. The nose is light, but whatís there is very nice. Second pour (with disturbed sediments) brings more coriander, but still not a ton.
Taste (8/10): The coriander in this beer steps up more in the taste, but itís not overpowering in any sense. It retains the lemony, slightly sweet character thatís in the nose, and the yeast note stays in the background just like in the scent. Second pour yields more coriander and yeast in the flavor of it, and a little chalkiness. Still, well-balanced.
Mouthfeel (4/5): Very nice and light, refreshing. Wet feeling (I knowósurprise, surprise) and light, fine carbonation over the tongue with a mildly dry finishóvery nice.
Overall (16/20): Itís light, bright, and maybe could be more vibrant but itís refreshing, really. To be fair, this bottle has sat probably too long for the optimal flavor point, or whatever you want to call it, but itís still quite tasty. Itís also downright quenching. This is a beer that I want to drink multiple glasses of, and feel like I could easily do so. Will definitely get this again!
