A Belgian-style White made with dried organic orange slices, fresh cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander. This beer will be a great summer quencher. Namaste was brewed with Leo from Birra del Borgo in Italy as a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who recently had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production!) at their brewery

Long Island, NY - bottle shared with dad and uncle. Poured a cloudy blonde with little head and no lace. Smells of citrus and incense. Initial taste of lemongrass with slight bitterness. Midway you get the distinct coriander which ends with a slight sting. Awesome, one of my new favorites. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very light blonde with a foamy bright white head, that disappates very quickly. Initial aromas of grain and sulfites. Initial sour attack which fades to a dry somewhat bitey finish. Very Light on the finish.

Light malt and strong coriander aroma. Cloud yellow color with a medium white head. Sweet beginning that last until the finish and develops a light banana flavor.

The aroma is a bit wild and funky without being overpowering. It’s almost weak but it also has citrus, wheat, and spice. The appearance is gold with a white hue and a foamy head. The taste is very good and not as wild as the aroma but has the same elements. The palate is a bit then. Overall this is a good beer.

Very light and crisp. Lots of spring herbal flavor. Floral and light with a slightly sweet taste. Clean, good stuff

wow, a DFH that isnt a hop or alcohol wallop. nice. a very good version of style, albeit with a slightly grassier bitter finish, which is nice compared some other more traditional style of wits. definitely will buy again...if i can afford it, that is.

Draught at the Lucky Dog, Brooklyn, NY.
Hazy yellow colour with tiny white head. Wheat, yeast, citrus and coriander in aroma. Real Witbier. Flavour is wheat, Belgian yeast, citrus, coriander and spices. Tasty Witbier.

Hazy light golden with almost a touch of a green tinge perhaps it was the lighting, nice big white head... Very spicy aroma, loads of coriander and possibly pepper, light citrus... Very lively, medium light body, somewhat dry finish... very spicy flavor, coriander pepper lemon... complex beer for the abv and style

Refrigerated big bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours cloudy golden with big chunks of floating yeast and big fluffy white head that dissapates quickly. Highly carbonated, light body, and good lacing. Taste is orange, coriander, some sour wheat, and a hint of lemongrass. Over-rated, I prefer a St. Bernardus Wit Bier.

750 ml bottle

Lingering in the cellar was a bottle of this. Having been a while since I tried a DFH release (barring the collaborative saison) I opted to give it a shot. After all their beers seem to be a love / hate thing (either I love them or they feel overpriced and bland).

Aroma and appearance - The cloudy semi-transparent base was murky like stirring a cup of tea with a little bit of dregs at the bottom. Golden hints shine like the low hanging sun as it rises. Silky legs were a nice accent. Lemon pledge, coriander, and yellowed newspaper which has aged to a fragile crispness hover in the air. Masked by the smell of urinal cakes it is both interesting and distracting at the same time. Perhaps a few less spices would have been nice.

Flavor and palate - The chewy mouthfeel is like pouring a caramel Twix down the throat. The peppery finish tastes like someone grabbed random spices from the cabinet and dumped them in during brewing. This was not that terrible but I felt myself wanting more. Somehow I see it being a while before I pick up another large format bottle from DFH except for those in the cellar.
