A Belgian-style White made with dried organic orange slices, fresh cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander. This beer will be a great summer quencher.

Namaste was brewed with Leo from Birra del Borgo in Italy as a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who recently had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production!) at their brewery

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. I bought this in Harrisonburg, Va. There is a slight haze and a small white head. The aroma is oranges with lemongrass. Tastes include some yeast and coriander. Dry hops with a bit of honey. This was interesting and would be great lawnmowing beer.

750 ml bottle. namaste pours a golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma is very floral and citrusy. I can really smell the oranges in this beer. This beer has a light sour taste to it which I found quite enjoyable. Overall a great great beer which is highly drinkable.

750 ml bottle. Pours cloudy golden hue with a foamy, lasting white head. Aroma is of musty yeast, citrus fruit with hints of grass and spices. Full, creamy, slightly crisp body. Citrus fruit, spices, Belgium yeast and candy sugar combine on the palate. Medium, semi-sweet finish. I’m not a fan of wits, but this one I like.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Medium golden with an orangey hue and some colloidal sediment late in the pour. Aroma is wheat, just a little sweaty, and delicately fruity with hints of spices. Light wheaty palate, perfumey citrus (I guess that would be the lemongrass) and light spice. Marred slightly by a little cardboard note, otherwise a great summer brew. Surprisingly unadventurous and unextreme for DFH.

A fruity sweet tasty summer treat. Pours a light orange with gentle spice and citric nose. At 5% ABV this beer is very approachable and quite pleasant to sip next to the lake on a warm summer evening.

A cloudy white-light-orange brew with a frothy white head that goes to lacing soon. Light citrus aromas. Flavor is light and citrus with a little spice. Smooth drinking. A bit underwhelming compared to Allagash White or others.

750ml bottle from Total Wine in Boca. Pours pale blonde, slightly hazy, with big fizzy white head. Aroma and taste are mild for a wit. Definitely yeasty, only a hint of lemon. Pretty good, not great.

Yeasty aroma has fruity, spicy and malty hints. It pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a minimal white head that still leaves some good lacing. Malty and wheaty flavor has a firm yeasty undertone and floral and fruity hints, and is very refreshing. Smooth texture has fairly firm body and a rather strong fizz, leaving behind a persistent tingle.

My Bottom Line :
Citrusy herbs and oranges are propelled here and there in this vocal Witbier, as prickly carbonation and herbal hop bitterness assemble some form of refreshment. Quite the ride for a Wit.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A healthy head of foam decorates the cloudy yellow.
-That is one powerful aroma. So powerful that it becomes nearly repulsive. Such intensity in a quencher is really not necessary, in my tastes.
-The flavor profile is thankfully not as sweet or intense as the aroma suggests.
-The herbal hop bitterness is leveled to the rest of the flavor profile’s medium intensity.
-A good brew for sure, but it cannot achieve the quenching factor of many Belgian and Québécois Witbiers which possess as much character.

Pours golden from bottle with bits of yeast floating about. Nice orangy notes on the nose. The orange comes through on the tongue but it’s offset by a dryness, the lemongrass perhaps. Solid!
