3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a large white head. A spicy easygoing flavor, huge coriander, mint. The flavor is a smooth; citrus, I see the lemongrass elements, coriander is huge, very grainy, smooth and clean. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750, capped. Pours a murky bright gold. Loose white head, bit of pillow to it, not too crazy. Lots of drippy lace. Mild funky earthy nose, kind of a nitrogenous old damp laundry smell--probably not exactly what they were aiming for here. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Mild lemon tang, some white pepper, grass, and floral notes on the mid palate. Inoffensive to be sure, aside from the funked up nose. Approachable and refreshing. Mild peppery finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy orange with foamy white head. Citrus, coriander, grass. Lively palate. Mild bitterness and mild sweetness. A good flavor, but a bit too subdued for my tastes. It tastes a bit watered down.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml bottle into tulip, shared with brenn79 and my dad. Thanks, dad! Pours a hazy yellowish-orange with a large rocky head with great retention. Leaves decorative lace. Aroma is grainy, lemony. Taste is all sweet with no bitterness; spicy--clove is noticeable. Delicious. Carbonation is medium-high, body is medium. A very tasty wit.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml. bottle- Pours cloudy orange with a huge head that dissipates, lacework is very good. Aroma is spicy coriander, lemon, wheat. The flavor is a wheat beer with this nice lemony and spices added. Some black pepper, kind of tangy, a perfect summer beer. The body is full, carbonation is medium. Very happy with this, If it weren’t for the price this would be my session beer of choice for the summer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a golden body with a lacing white head. Flavors of lemon, orange, yeast, some clove, slightly herbal. Aroma is much the same. Finish is clean malt and citrus. Soft and delicious for a white ale.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Hazed to the point of opaque straw color. Two and a half fingers of thick pillowy head that retains very well and leaves a sizeable chunk of lacing.
4.5 S: Smells wonderful. Typical, but well made witbier base. Wheaty, straw, yeasty. Then the adjunct add a whole lot of great aromas to this. Corriander is very apparent, orange lends a big citrusy orange component (duh), and the lemongrass adds a touch of tangy sourish-ness.
2.5 T: Holy shit is this disappointing. I absolutely loved the nose, which makes this an even harder hit. There’s a big hit of corriander up front, but after that the beer tastes and feels empty. It’s strange and I’ve never really experienced anything like this. There’s lemongrass and wheat in the middle if you froth it around your tongue. Yeast throughout. Orange is subdued. Super weak given how nice the nose was.
3.0 M: Part of why the taste is so bland is that the bottle is overcarbonated. Not absurdly so, but enough to worsen the experience. It blows up too much on the tongue for a proper experience. Otherwise, lighter medium body and not particularly smooth due to the carbonation.
3.0 D: This has some problems with carbonation foremost. This beer started out so well. It looked great and smelled better, but the house of cards fell down with the taste. The flavor is too light for my liking. This would be a good lawnmover beer, but not for the price.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A delicious witbier and one of the most tastiest ones I’ve ever had! Aroma was nice and full. Heavy on the coriander and orange with wet lemongrass weaving in and out. Pour was stunning (which I always say when there is a good bit of sediment). Cloudy light gold with a few rising bubbles, a one finger white head and nice clumps of sediment floating around. Taste was very full and spicy. Again, the coriander and orange stick to the top of the mouth. Nutmeg and allspice come in as you swallow. Sweet and wet. Nice carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy dark golden yellow color with bright lemon yellow hues when held to a light source and a frothy two finger head that slowly settles into a lasting cap. Rings and chunks of soapy lacing coat the glass.
Sweet, slightly earthy and herbal aroma with lots of citrus peel, zesty spice and bread/yeast notes. Grassy with hints of pepper, clove and coriander as well as some orange peel and lemon juice.
Medium bodied and a bit fuller than expected with some tight carbonation and prominent spice character up front that lingers throughout into a sweet yet dry finish. There’s a blast of zesty spice up front with lots of pepper, clove and coriander which is countered mid-palate by yeast/bread flavor as well as some sweet citrus rind and grassy/herbal notes. Lot of lemon juice which gives off subtle acidity and sweet orange peel balancing things out nicely. The lemongrass is prominent with a nice earthy and sweet character that makes this beer extremely refreshing and easy to drink. I had no problem drinking down the whole 750 pretty quickly.
Overall, I was really impressed with this offering from DFH. Lately a lot of their experimental beers have been interesting but just extreme for the sake of being so. Interesting experiments but not terribly enjoyable. One and done kind of beers. This beer, on the other hand, was complex and flavorful and I will definitely be buying it again, especially with summer coming around.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of coriander, vanilla and a litte nutmeg and hints of wax - like crayon wax. Color is a very hazy and very light orange to yellow, with a ton of suspended yeast sediment that stays suspended and does not sink in the beer. Very foamy white head. Palate is very noticeable - very highly carbonated and kind of blunts the citrusy flavor at first. Flavor has lots of orange and finishes with a lingering citrusy bite. After the first experience I would not say that I prefer this beer over Hoegaarden, Allagash, or Mannekin Witbiers.
