A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher. Namaste was originally brewed at our pub in Rehoboth Beach with our Italian friend Leo from Birra del Borgo. It was a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production) in 2009.

Liked it, didn’t love it. Big fan of everything Calagione does, but this one was fairly non-descript. There are better wits out there, but this one will do the job if it is available.

Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus coriander and wheat. Taste is sweet with a tart finish. Light and airy mouth feel. Solid and thanks to Chalsk for this one.

On tap at the Knick. Light citrus and coriander notes. Carbonic acidity and some tartness. Wheat notes, with bubblegum. Hazy light golden amber with thin white head. Medium-light body with vigorous carbonation and fizzy burn in the throat. Starts fairly dry, with wheat, orange peel, light spice and carbonic tang. Lemongrass finish with bubblegum and light bitterness. Smooth wheat after.

Pours a five+ finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Hazy straw color. Strong carbonation and light-medium bodied. Orange and lemon grass nose and flavor is orange, lemon grass some tartness. Good Summer drink. $10.99 for a 750ml bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.

Pours hazy yellow with some white head. Very nice and refreshing aroma typical of a good witbier but with a bit of a Dogfish Head twist that separates it from other wheats (I believe it is due to the lemongrass and crystallized orange wedges instead of simply orange peel). Taste is very similar to what is advertised in the aroma. Nice citrus taste with some spices including coriander and of course the wheat flavor. One of the few good sessionable beers you will find from Dogfish Head.

Pours a hazy glowing golden liquid with a large immaculate white head. Smells of citrus, coriander, and grass. Tastes slightly bitter with a thin body. Nice crisp finish and ends with a bitter taste.

Pours a very light clear golden color with immense white head that grows from the bottom of the glass with a torrent of bubbles fighting the the surface. Smells of honey, grass and citrus. Flavor like many white beers, but the body is a bit creamier. Flavor is fairly light.

Excellent crispness. Orange, licorice, yeast, spiced malt, lemon, and grass. Subdued bite with a medium body. Fruity and yet not sweet. Some acidity and very sticky palate. Excellent session beer.

Appearance was hazy light gold with diminishing creamy white head, spotty lacing. Aromas where wheat, spices, doughy yeasts and citrusy friuts. Taste was wheaty, lemons, oranges and zesty spices. Palate was smooth and crispy with light bubby carbonation, friuty refreshing finish. Witbier goodness...poured@GVFB vegas.

A nice unexpected Belgian from Dogfish. Easy to drink, smells of oranges, very summery. Pours golden with a lacey head. Delicious beer, would drink again.
