A Belgian-style White made with dried organic orange slices, fresh cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander. This beer will be a great summer quencher.

Namaste was brewed with Leo from Birra del Borgo in Italy as a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who recently had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production!) at their brewery

Bottled, courtesy of Crash. Pours a clear dark yellow with a small, thin white ring of a head. Lemongrass brightness hits you first in the aroma, mellowing into Belgian yeasts, fresh baked bread, quick orange peel. Flavor is a balance between sweet orange and lemon peel and slightly sour yeasts and wet straw/grains. Finish is a bit raw in flavor, wheaty, crusty bread and sourdough. Not my favorite witbier.

Bottle @ Kristrup tasting. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, light spice, peppercorn, lemongrass, light citrus. Flavor is wheat, light sweet, lemongrass, light spice, coriands, little spice, light soapy. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Not a fan of lemongrass. 310115

Pours slightly hazy golden straw with gigantic fluffy white head _ and this ostensibly is straight from the brewery _ which steadily reduces but leaves attractive lacing. What is described is what you get: under the foam, a nose of bread and coriander, with a whiff of orange. That’s true in the glass as well, with a light dryness enlivened by the coriander and lemongrass and a very slight touch of orange. Straightforward with little complexity, it does marry well with pasta and vegetables in red sauce. With low ABV, it’s very serviceable to accompany a meal, although not especially memorable on its own.

Gentle coriander aroma. Pillow like white cloud head that clings the glass nicely. Soft straw yellow body. Bread coriander taste. Crisp and clean to the finish. Lemony tartness too. Enjoyable and refreshing. A nice treat.

From Mr. Goodbar in Buffalo, NY. Golden yellow pour, nice and light, somewhat fruity. Has a certain feel to it, not sure how to put it. Really a nice beer though.

A bit restrained for DFH. Well balanced between the yeasty spice and the additions. Decent beer.

Tap: Hazy golden body with a foamy, bright white collar. Aroma of Belgian yeast, bread, clove, light cotton, coriander, & a touch of medicinal phenols. Flavor has a strong cotton & bread Belgian yeast flavor. Somewhat spicy with some clove, white pepper, coriander, & just a hint of orange peel. Yeast heavy finish. Slightly medicinal. Not bad.
