Bottle, this ale had a clear pale yellow (straw) pour and made a three finger fluffy white head that receded a bit but always kept a cover, it left spots and sheets of lacing on the sides of he glass, the glass had a center stream of medium flowing bubbles with a couple of smaller streams elsewhere, and I found no sediment in the bottle, this drink had faint aromas of white grapes, pale malt with faint bread, some light fruit sweetness that resembled white grape juice, there was a little earth character in the background, and a little bit of phenols (smoke), the flavors were pear fruit and white grape, some hints of apple cider with pale malt in the background, a little grape tannin to, the finish was dry with some acidity that scrapes the palate a bit, the mouth feel was less than medium and left the palate dry, I thought this beer had the smell and taste of phenols, the alcohol was hidden well, I thought this beer was a little interesting.

This is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Pours a bubbly yellow with a large white head. Smells dry, like champagne, with an element of some sort of funk I can’t describe. I think the best way I could characterize this is by describing it as a sort of "sour champagne" taste. Definite wine grape character with the "botrytis" infection character apparent. VERY sour.

Clear yellow, frothy white head. Aroma of grape, grain, alcohol, light malt liquor DMS type aroma. Taste is sweet, some tart grape, the same eggy DMS funk. Not the greatest offering.

Aroma of champagne, clove, and a bready yeast. Pours very carbonated and ginger ale colored. Big bubbly head. Taste OS sweet. Dry grape, floral, and a sweet gingery herb. Great bready aftertaste. Surprising and delicious.

Pours a translucent pale gold with a one finger head that retains. Aroma of sour grapes, slight funk. Taste follows nose, slightly tart, funk and sour grapes are pretty up front on this. Overall this is a real pleasant surprise from DFH. New and interesting brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Buttery at first sip. But it turns into a unique brew. Tons of wine flavors and aromas from the grapes. The yeast provides a light tartness.

Draft @ redlight redlight. Grapes on the nose sweet fruity with traces of a musty aroma. Pours blonde with a thin white head. Wine grapes up front followed by a mild tartness some tannic notes with a tart crisp finish. Very nice

750ml bottle shared by jsprime. light straw with a small white head. white wine and powdery light malt nose. funky white wine grape, pils malt flavour. if this was 4.5% it would make a nice summer quencher, at 9% its something i wouldnt open without someone to share with.

This beer is interesting to say the least. Unassuming at the start, only a slight tangy aroma. Taste is overpoweringly tangy. Too much for me.
