3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aromas of hay, straw, and notes of grape. Pale yellow and clear, white head. Taste is sweet, kind of a wine taste. Dry palate, a bit fizzy. Overall, this beer is light, refreshing, and very drinkable with well hidden ABV. A nice change of pace, but not a style that I would drink consistently.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Translucent straw, light carbonation large white dishwater like head. Very much filtered as this is very clear. Soft musty white grape and white wine like aroma. On the tongue its tart at first, chardonay like, with lots of musty grape flavors. As it turns out, its very dry, very musty, and very wine like. This is a fruit beer? At first it was listed as a Saison, not a Fruit Beer. I don’t know what to make of this as its very different. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Seems more like a wine than beer, but even than its not as sweet or high in ABV. Weird to drink this thinking its a beer when most of my senses say its a white wine. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. The finish totally reminds me of a white wine, dry with that musty white grape aspect. I would have never thought this as a beer, never. Fruit Beer... really?

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice aromas of white grapes with a light gold color. Very smooth and tastes truly like a combo of wine and beer, but in a good way. Seems more like a wine with beer in it vs a beer with elements of wine it. All in all, interesting, but wouldn't come back for more.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Eh.. it’s ok. I love that Dogfish is constantly trying new things and pushing the envelope, but this just didn’t do it for me. A hybrid of a white wine and a saison, although I’d prefer one or the other, not both. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Midas Touch combo either, although I think I’d prefer a bottle of that. Tart, crisp, dry, acidic. Very light in flavor and palate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Pours a clear golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of farmhouse yeast and spices with some lemon zest, grape, with a bit of wheat and grains.
T - Starts off with a mix of grains, pilsner malt, white grapes, and a bit of tart lemon. Through the middle, some Belgian yeast comes through with a bit of spice and some more tart lemon peel. The finish is a mix of tart lemon, Belgian yeast, white grapes, and a bit of light yeast.
M - Medium bodied with moderate-plus carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart and dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice flavor added by the white grape, and the base saison is really nice. Good balance.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a light golden, with a steady head. Hints of grapes slash champagne in the Belgian aroma. Definitely smells sweet and bubbly. Slightly sour in taste, like white wine, though more on the back end. Starts off smooth and gentle, definitely has a heavy dose of booze, but leaves a sour, yet crisply cleansed palate. Still, you can taste the acidic offs of the botrytis. Recommended for lovers of saisons, or sours, particularly on a warm evening- 9% sits you down.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2012 interesting? yes.. and even somewhat refreshing... but past that, not really my thing. pretty acidic, very dry and sour, kind of vinegary ... goes down somewhat like a wine or cider... and if that?s what i was looking for then that?s what I?d rather get... probably won?t be having this again
