3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium frothy white head that quickly diminishes to nothing. The aroma is floral hop, funk, and grape skin. Thin mouthfeel with a strong grape flavor and bready malt with wine flavor in the finish. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well, a very good fruit beer from Dogfish Head.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This 750 capped bottle was from Costco in Eureka, CA. Pours bright gold with a robust and foamy white head that left a big lacing ring at the top of the glass. Nose is earthy and it would seem brett. Full body. Great clean and easy to drink mouth feel. Flavor is full of citrus and is almost moldy which I guess explains the "rot". The finish is spicy and the taste buds tingle. Dogfish Head has done some really innovative beers over the years. This one is at the head of the class. What an amazing brew.

The yeast adds a nice saison feel to this beer, but there’s so much more to it. Grapes, apricot, honey are all present. Some Viognier similarities as well. Alcohol is well hidden. Neat.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is grapes, citrus, pears, peaches. Slightly soured, but not sour really. Nice tart grape, very little malts. Interesting, it works in the warm weather though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A fine beer, definitely not worth the cost though. The fermented grape idea works well enough but produces a not-sour-enough gueuze-type beer. Lighter than you would think.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle aged at least a year - pours clear orangish-gold with a white head. Aroma slightly acidic with a mustiness of the white wine. Taste is saison like with just enough sourness so you notice, but not so much that you would call it sour. This slight sourness is layered with a more traditional malt thing. Very nice!

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Yoav. Slightly hazy golden. Aroma is floral, slightly funky, with white wine fruitiness, sulphury notes, cidery hints and wood. Semi-dry flavor with vinous fruitiness, spicy notes, woody notes, apples and alcohol. Medium-bodied.

Golden color with white top, complex smell - grape must. Less sour than expected, nice flavor blend. Like geuze. complex.
