Buttery at first sip. But it turns into a unique brew. Tons of wine flavors and aromas from the grapes. The yeast provides a light tartness.

750ml bottle shared by jsprime. light straw with a small white head. white wine and powdery light malt nose. funky white wine grape, pils malt flavour. if this was 4.5% it would make a nice summer quencher, at 9% its something i wouldnt open without someone to share with.

This beer is interesting to say the least. Unassuming at the start, only a slight tangy aroma. Taste is overpoweringly tangy. Too much for me.

Bottle to oversized snifter. Looks okay; very light and translucent. Smells good; nice and fruity. Tastes pretty good too; you can definitely pick up on the Pinot Gris grapes, but they marry well with the Pils malt. Mouthfeel is good too. Overall, a pretty good experimental beer from Dogfish Head.

Sample at World Of Beer for Dogfish Head Draft Domination on 03/27/12. Pale yellow-gold color with a medium fluffy white head that dissipates slowly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, cloves and malt. Medium body with a vinous character and flavors of Champagne yeast, spice and malt. The finish is sweet with a grape juice and hops aftertaste. Interesting, above average beer overall.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Transparent, light yellow appearance with a white head. White grape, a touch funky, dry, apple, pear fruity, tangy aroma. Tangy, lemon citrusy, effervescent, pear cider, white grape, acidic flavor with a tingly, lemon, pear finish. Fun brew.

Clear yellow pour with thin white head, thanks a ton Aaron! Aroma has notes of lemony grapes, touch of apricot, pear and peach, slight white grape with slight funk, touch of earth and slight lactic notes. Taste is nice white grape with sweet tart fruit, nice pear and apricot notes, slight funky notes, touch of bready malts with a nice funky note, hints of slight lemon, finishing fairly sweet but a slight tart fruit note. Nice beer!
