3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Picked this up at Hunger Mountain Co-Op in Montpelier Vermont. Poured into a standard pint glass
A - 2-Finger Head very creamy and white. The brew looks like a white wine or a pilsner. Not a lot going on, no sediment, very basic.
S - White grapes, earthy, leaves, very earthy in general. Some honey but not a lot.
T - Wheat, white grape juice, honey some wild yeast taste but not very extraordinary
M - Huge carbonation, lingering white grape and dirt taste.
O - It’s alright. Nothing too amazing. Drinks more like an overly carbonated white wine than a beer.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma- berries, grass, resin, vinous qualities, ginger
Appearance- super clear macro yellow, nice fluffy white head, lower carbonation
Taste- big grapes, sweet berries, slight hop twinge, light malt bill, light fruits, syrupy sweetness
Palate- very full-bodied considering the style, mouth-coating with lower carbonation
Overall- Definitely wine(y) but in a good way. It really does incorporate the best of best words. A very interesting and unique brew to behold.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Star Bar. Clear pale golden with a foamy thick white head. Aroma is funky fruity with tones of grape and apricot, with some pale cereal blonde sweetness, along with a white wine essence. Taste is pretty eccentric, in a good way. Starts like apricot and orange rind, turning funky and farm-house like, with a very gentle sourness and a green grape tone, perhaps with a touch of pear and honey malt, all while remaining funky sour. Finishes dry and funky like a saison with some pale malt cereal tones. Not shabby! Kinda fun to drink and analyze.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. Pale straw yellow pour with fizzy white head that dissipates into nothing quickly. Aroma of white grape juice, wheat, pale malt. Mild belgian yeast zing, but it’s fairly muted. Some fresh baked bread and biscuits. Flavor is strong on the grape side. Lots of white grape juice. Wheat notes along with pale malt. Some crispness. The yeast imparts a slight fruitiness, as well as a bit of earthiness. Somewhat dry, apparent bread. Medium bodied. There’s a mild tartness in the finish from the grapes. I feel like Dogfish head keeps making the same beer over and over.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Lightest good, moderate soapy puffy white head that lasts. Nose is quite sweet, lots of white wine, grain, skin and tannins. Heavy white wine front, mid-grain and papery dryness mid with more heat in the finish. Quite singular, too much wine and heat, might as well be drinking a cheap chardonnay.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy yellow pour with a big white head. Aroma is fruity, tart, slightly citrusy with some grainy notes. Flavor is tart, a bit earthy, a bit spicy. Some good things playing together here. I’ve had Botrytis wine before and the fungal notes were overpowering, but here everything plays well together. Nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a semi murky golden yellow color with a fizzy white head. Aroma was of light spices, definitely some chardonnay character, and yeasty. Flavor was very nice slightly tart grape/white grape character, almost like wine. Finally a new DFH beer that isnt loaded with sweetness. Nicely done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Whatever size bottle, I got that one. Poured a slightly hazy golden color, wispy white head. Aroma was tart grapes, but not too strong - just a light, green grape tartness. Flavor was about the same, very mellow, interesting brew. I expected this to be some kind of strange sugar bomb, but found it to be pretty well constructed - hidden alcohol content is a pretty nice bonus.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle) Clear and bubbling golden body with a small white head. Aroma of sweet, pale malt, somewhat herbal and moderately spiced, some vinous character, too; pear, grape. Light to medium bodied, with lots of carbonation. Sweet flavor, but very crisp and long, dry finish. White wine character is strong, espicially in the finish and aftertaste. Acidic grape. Interesting and worthwhile experiment. I enjoyed it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I wasn’t too sure about this when I opened it. Very pale yellow like a bad lager. (But what does appearance really matter.) Coors Lite comes to mind. But then you get a whiff of the fruit and the funk and you think this might not be so bad. The flavor has a nice balance and the sour funk makes it extra special. It has a very crisp and dry finish. More like a sour ale but who cares.
