Sipping on this right now... Pours a clear gold with thin white head, looks just like your typical american light lager. Aroma is very reminiscent of a wine, as is the flavor. Lots of grape flavor, very dry.

Has some grape/wine scent, clear yellow color and an ok white wine taste. It has a very light mouth feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The pour was a sparkling clear golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that diminished rapidly, leaving behind a light film with a medium collar and some pretty good sticky lacing. The aroma was on the funky side with a mild hay malt and a musty Belgian yeast with notes of white grapes, green apple, a mild white wine and just a slight hint of alcohol. The taste was sweetly tart with a nice note of grapes and malt early on, progressing into an almost sour funky taste with a big dose of yeast and a strong wine characteristic. The flavor stuck around for a nice long while, letting the tart yeasty wine flavor linger on the taste buds for a good long time. Mouthfeel was light in body and nice and dry in texture with a good strong prickly carbonation. Overall a very unique brew, a mix of wine and beer that was done so superbly that it gives it an almost champagne like quality with the body and flavor of an excellent Farmhouse Ale. Be warned this is one to be careful of; it has a 9% ABV that is virtually unnoticeable in the taste…

750mL bottle shared by PaulUnwin. Cheers, Paul! Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is white grapes, some wood, mild bitterness, and some light malt. Flavor is similar to a carbonated Riesling or a white table wine. Some woody notes in there as well. Very interesting beer; I will be curious to see how it ages.

Draft at Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford ct. Looks like an American macro beer with white lacing throughout the pint. This is a crisp and bubbly beer with white wine, pear, lime and sourdough notes. Alcohol provides a nice bite similar to the sensation of a good pilesner. Good experiment by dogfish head

Sample from the Odense crew, thanks. Clear pilsner colored body with a tiny white head. Aroma is sweet apples, sweet grapes, pilsner like malt. Flavor is like retsina, fruity, notes of yeast. Quite interesting beer. I like it.

Pale golden with a big and lasting white head. On first impression a pilsner-like aroma with herbal hops, but also fruity notes and a nice mineral note. Dry and tart flavour with lots of white wine character, spicy notes, and some warming alcohol. Takes some effort to appreciate the complexity, but it’s a winner

Very interesting. The wine grapes dominate the nose and this is a beautiful clear, golden color. The palate shows melon and apples. The wine is really The primary component here, save the carbonation. Long, apple finish. Dangerous at the Abv level as this goes down quite easily.
