3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a clear light gold color with about an inch off-white head that sticks around for a little while. Thereís also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like green grapes, yeast, apples, white wine, and some grain/bready malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but thereís also some tart fruity flavors noticeable too. The flavors are more wine-like than beer-like (however Iím not exactly a wine person), but in this case it works for me. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it has moderate carbonation and itís easy enough to drink. I think this is a good brew, Iíd buy it again in the future.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Comes out of the bottle a clear, slightly wan solar yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. OK, so I prefer dark beers - Iíll cut this some slack since itís a saison and not a porter. The head does leave some generous lacing - thatís a half point right there. Aroma is robust and fruity, mainly apple and grape with a hint of banana and just a whisper of citrus, as well as a yeasty and slightly earthy undertone. Flavor fills the mouth with lip-puckering sour apple and yeast, plus subtle grape, malt and butterscotch notes. Texture is firm-bodied, edgy and lively, sour all the way down to the tummy. Though this is technically a saison, I recommend it to all lovers of sour beers - if sour is your, ahem, cup of tea, you should enjoy this one.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught pours clear light yellow with no head. Aromas of grapes and perfume/flowers. Taste is champagne like with grapes and a slight sour note. Body is light and ABV is well hidden. Pretty good overall.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing to bubble surface. Sweet yeast, grape and cracker aromas. Dry with sweet dusty grapeskin and berries upfront turning to marshmallow before the lasting berry and resin finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Parkway Tavern, pours a pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, white wine / grapes, candied sugar and horse blanket. Flavour is that of a white wine, very vinous and full on the palate with a monolithic flavoour profile. Full out assault of white wine, though simultaneously light on the palate. Delicious.

Very tart to me, and I am not a big fan of that. But it worked for me in this!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden color with a very large rocky head. This was served on draft in a stem glass at Birreria on top of Eataly in NYC. The aroma took a while to open up but once it did, the notes were similar to a champagne. Tropical fruits and flowers on the top notes, yeast and wheat on the bottom. The flavors were very interesting. Semi-dry (especially in the context of other DFH big bottles) and crisp with a the same fruit notes on the palate. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I know that this beer is brewed with botrytis infected grapes and it was served in a wine glass, but I could very clearly detect the fermented grape juice. Therer were some Sauterne-like sweet notes in there as well. Finishes clean and crisp. A fun beer that was enjoyable as well.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750ml bottle. Super clean and bright light golden with ample bright white head that leaves some lacing. White grapes, some winey character, punky white oak, pepper, doughy wheat with hints of clove and banana. Very light in body with loose carb feel for style...but maybe due to thinness. Peppery wheat, lightly sweet musky white wine grapes, clove/banana yeast esters, white oak, more white grape and pepper in the finish. Blend of Duvel and Carlo Rossi.
