750ml bottle from Willows Market. Nice clear white wine color with a well-formed bubbly white head. Very vinous aroma of Pinot Gris, sweet malt, and honey. The flavor is also very wine-like with big white grape notes, sweet malt, and some alcohol. Medium-bodied and smooth, mildly tannic with a bit of booziness. Solid stuff, if a bit overrated.

Draft at Mariaís. Pours a good looking gold witha fluffy white head. Nose shows lots of white wine grapes, a bit of funk and honey. Quite fruity overall. Mild tartness. On tasting, the wine character is pretty dominant, but there is some soft sweet pils malt flavor and a spicy hop note with balanced bitterness. Pretty cool beer here.

Excellent beer here. Wonderfully dry without being overly so, hides the alcohol very well. Great grape flavor, well balanced hops. Very enjoyable. The white wine like flavor doesnít always sit well with my stomach.

Pours crystal clear and light gold with a medium white head. The grapes are prominent in the aroma along with the bananas and cloves of a Hefeweizen. Wow! The flavor is awesome! Tart grapes up front (reminding me of a pinot grigio, but really sharp). Then it does this crazy long transformation into a mild hoppy bitterness and finally a sneaky and surprisingly smooth malty buttered toast flavor. This is a confusingly complex and beautiful beer. Awesome!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Very slightly hazed golden wheat color. Two and a half fingers of frothy white head. Retention is at least average and a moderate amount of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Clean, lightly biscuity malts. Quite earthy and outdoorzy. Apple orchard, rotting wood, the forest in spring after a rain. Then thereís the vinous grape component. Interesting addition to this type of beer and it totally works. Good, but not overly impressive despite being quite unique.
3.5 T: Whatever botrytis is, it seems to be the source of the easily apparent tanginess in this. Itís like an earthy variant of lactic acid. Next the grapes present themselves. If I didnít know better Iíd have thought this was some sort of champagne. (As an aside, I might try to trick a wine snob with this, if I can find one.) Anyway, apple and apple orchard funkiness, woody, earthy, vinous, and lightly musty.
4.0 M: This even feels a bit like champagne. Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with an almost champagne-like spritziness. It works.
3.5 D: I never had Infinium, but it seems like this is what they should have been going for. Interesting as usual from DFH.

Dogfish may not always be to my taste, but the consistent high quality is undeniable. The pour is fine gold with a thin white head fed by constant stream of fine bubbles. The aroma is the scent of an orchard. This is a definite saisson style brew. The taste is white grape with a strong, warm alcohol bite and a bitter finish. Well crafted.

Appearance: clear medium gold, with a short, fizzy white head and syrupy legs. Aroma: light citrus, yeast, pears, saltine crackers, and a bit of funk. Taste: sweet, with flavors of white grape juice, citrus, grains, pepper, star anise, white wine and champagne. Finish: dry, tart, slightly sour, with a lingering light astringency. Notes: Smells like a saison, tastes almost like a tripel, finishes like a chardonnay. Very interesting.
