3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A truly unique drink that actually made me remember why I used to love dfh. Aroma is tons of grape, slight funk, light floral yeasty notes. Taste is like an interesting carbonated wine with light maltiness to differentiate it a bit. Really enjoyed drinking this one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Blonde bodied with a thin, but resilient head. Nose of stone fruit and red wine grapes. Belgian blonde yeast flavors with modest phenols, a touch of pepper and close, wash over a thin grape lining. The pepper lingers pleasantly on the palate. Light, almost watery, but not watered down. A crisp, vivacious drink.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750, from 2011. This aged well like a Sauternes. Great winey flavors, lots of wine characteristics, the base beer was jsut carbonation and it let the botrytis take over. Very well done and its starting to restore my faith in dfh

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Large shared bottle.
A: Good clarity and lots of carbonation. Durable white head.
Aroma: fruity, musty, yeasty with more than a hint of white wine.
Flavor: a reasonably good cross of white wine, champagne and Belgian pale ale.
Feel: light and lively.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle shared at tasting. Pale, filtered yellow tan. Foamy white head, patchy. Creamy on the palate. Easy. Not unlike an Imperial Pils or big Lager. Grape tones come out the more you sip at it.....and I can’t really get into that. Tastes like wine, mead. An OK beverage, but not such a great beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours fizzy and clear, pale, yellow. White head fades quickly. White grape nose, bit sour. Fruity and farmy taste; dry, green apples, Sour grapes. Very drinkable, despite 9% ABV.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. Bright brassy gold color with a small bubbly white head. Fresh white grape nose has hints of hay, yeast and wheat. Tart dry sour malt flavor. More like semi-dry champagne with a bit less carbonation. Bitter peppery mid taste. Soft dry saison-like finish. Leave it to Dogfish Head to bring us this unique brew. Nice job.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
"Wish list cross off. Not as funky or sour as I was hoping, but still good. It smells and tastes musty, very wine like with some fruity sweetness and zesty Belgian yeast coming through. A slight saison like tartness is really the only funky stuff. Not really a wild ale...no bacteria in this Bad boy. Some kind of grape fungus or something. Anyway, nice but hoping for something a little more outside the box for DFH."

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
dark fruit smell....but very mild...taste is quite grapy but not much after that...dissipates quickly and you’re left with a beer that isn’t great... lacking in finish...finish is weird and hard to place..but not goodl :(

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, shared by a kind soul in a location remote to my dining room.
The beer pours an extraordinarily pale color with a small head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is straight up white wine, with some melon and peppercorn... which of course are perfectly legitimate aroma notes for a white wine, honestly, blindfolded I wouldn’t guess it’s a beer by the aroma.
The flavor is bright and fruity, not terribly sweet with a touch of black pepper and white grape. It’s really a lot like a dry-ish white wine in character... good fruit, mild acidity, some brightness.
As a general Dogfish Head skeptic, I have to say this one worked out just fine.
