Pours clear, pale gold with a dissipating white head, nice lacing, and lively carbonation. Aroma is slightly funky, with fruity wine aroma as well. Tastes dry and crisp, with a nice balance between wine and malt. Slightly tart on the finish. Strange beer, but certainly not bad.

It took some time before this became available here in SWVA. Pours light yellow (think Budlight) with quickly disappearing head. Aroma is light with some complex fruit aromas and a tad of diacetyl. Taste is dry, cidery, crisp and refreshing. I don’t see how in the world this is 9% abv and I will bring in a sample to lab to have it analysed. Complex and interesting; boy I like this one.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle in a class at Gilly's Craft Beer & Wine in Rockville, MD.
Clear, bright straw-yellow with a small white head and fair lacing.
Aroma of funk, pilsner malt, grapes, wine, caramel, mustiness and acetic sourness.
Taste of grapes, funk, sourness, caramel and pilsner with a dry, tart finish.
Medium/light body and high carbonation.
While still cold, this beer was a bit off-putting, with strong acetic and musty elements like those often associated with a wine that has turned. However, after letting the beer warm (and breathe) a while, the flavor and aroma vastly improved and became most intriguing.

12oz on tap. Delicious farmhouse ale, Dogfish gets this doppelgänger right. Bright yellow (almost neon), clear, good lacing. Lots of yeasty, wild, and basement aromas. Great character as well, light overall, but tons of taste.

You can really taste the wine tones in this beer. It has quite a unique flavor blend of spice and sweetness. Decent sipping beer, but not something I’d want to drink regularly.

Unlike any saison I’ve ever tasted. Aroma is spice with a pronounced grapey overlay. Colour is pale yellow with a white head, looks like a pale lager. Spicy and grapey taste, the wine notes really come out.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light yellow with frothy white head... Aroma of citrus fruits... Flavor is earthy like a saison initially but has dominant notes of citrus, finish of white wine and maybe slightly sour yeast... Nice
